Manticore - Blockout
Added 2020-05-17 10:18:20 +0000 UTCOff to a good start on this one! I used the Displacer Beast as a base, removed the extra legs and bulked out the proportions. He has much larger feet, thicker legs, tail and a bigger head. The face is coming along nicely (it took a few attempts) and like I said in the previous post I'm not a huge fan of the official face and going with a straight lion head is a cop out but I'm liking the mix of humanoid and feline so far.
For the tail I think the best bet is to have both spiked and scorpion tips as options, the lore seems to change depending on where you read it and having both isn't much extra effort.
I'm 99% sure the wings will have to be separated and keyed so I'll need to come up with a nice way of doing that, ideally without having gross seams visible... I get away with making them just fit a lot of the time but dont like my chances this round.
