Manticore Wins - Moodboards
Added 2020-05-12 12:23:13 +0000 UTCSo that was much closer than I was expecting it to be, the Manticore just edged out by only 2 votes. Seeing as the top 3 were so tight, do we chuck the Dissimortuum and Nothic straight back into the next round?
Alright so I've got 2 moodboards going, one for the overall and another more focused on the head/face. It's described as having the body of a lion, dragon-like wings and a somewhat humanoid head... a lot of the mini's I've found seem to ignore that part and just go with the head of a lion as well. While I'm not a huge fan of the official artworks face, (the normal human sized nose really puts me off) if I had to pick one that still fits the description without looking forced and weird I'd go with the top right.
We lucked out again this time with the creature type and anatomy. I can take the Displacer Beast as a starting point and get a bit of a head start with the design. I think we will end up with a pretty damn cool mini by the end of this and another big one!
