Updates 2, electric boogaloo

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while, well a month actually.

I feel like i always want to tell you everything that's been going on and try to keep it short at the same time.

Patreon first.

 I've decided not to pause August BUT i want to rework what my patreon is some.

I know that this basically goes against the entire idea of patreon but i don't want my page to just be a place for exclusive content. I don't know what that looks like yet ( for a very important reason i'll get into next ) but i'll try to figure it out.

I think i want to do something where i'm more involved with the people that are Ktrons.

IRL stuff.

Oh boy. Ok, personal stuff. Currently, i'm actually in a pretty good place mentally. I have spouts of depression every now and then but mostly for the past month i've been doing great. Taking a break was a good idea. If you follow me on twitter, you'll see that i still drew a quite a bit and posted it over there ( and i will post it here eventually as well ).

That's because I've decided to treat my NSFW stuff the way i would a regular job. Basically going back to a normal rhythm and not going to sleep at ungodly hours.

In between that i've also been getting back into learning new things. I've been going with a new kind of shading style where my 2D stuff is concerned, Spine has been really catching my attention for 2D animations and i've also been diving into Blender for 3D stuff... And i want to use that to segway into another topic.

My really IRL stuff.

For those who don't know, i'm currently unemployed, which was a blessing and a curse, as my contract ended a month before the COVID outbreak swept the world. I work as an animator for games and i've worked on 2 AAA games for a pretty well-known studio.

The thing is, I've been contacted 3 times since my contract ended. Once back in February, a second time about two weeks ago, and though the first 2 didn't go through, the last one was about a day ago.

Personally, i wasn't going to actively look for work, given the global situation, until September. The thing is with the video game industry, a lot of times, opportunities find you, and it's not always when it's most convenient for you. Passing up the opportunity is almost never an option.

We're also in a very interesting time of a new generation of consoles being on the horizon. So opportunities to build something are going to pop up and studios are going to be recruiting.

As mush as i love drawing NSFW stuff, I will choose financial stability every time. No question. Even if it means going through the hell of moving to a different city or country. I love video games.

So to bring this back to Patreon, that's why i want to change things because my IRL life is a bit of a toss up. I want to be transparent with you guys.

When i re-opened my Patreon i made it clear that i wanted people to pledge because they want to support what i do. Whatever that was.

I'll keep you all updated on anything that would be majorly life changing. If you have any ideas of what i could implement to make you more involved as well, let me know.

Hell, even if you think i should be doing more stuff that other artist do, like sets, polls, raffles or whatever, let me know too. :)

I never left, so i can't be "back". I just took a break.
