VN or Comic Books/mini-series?

So far you've seen it in all forms, mini-series, comic books and also a visual novel (BTCD). The reason I put BTCD on hold, besides a real audience, meaning a consistent number of subscribers, is the fact that I've made the story longer (more than 200 renders already) than the one in first episode. I also wanted more interaction like choices and stuff, and things became way too complicated for me. That task was too huge and I didn't anticipate it form the beginning.
That means I can't make/deliver complex Visual Novels/Games the way some of you are used to see in other places. And perhaps, because the developers try to make them very complex is the reason most of the VN/games are abandoned sooner or later.
But...
I was thinking about short episodes 50-100 images, with dialogue, sound effects some soundtrack, etc. Each episode with its own story, a kinetic novel more or less. Basically comic books, but enclosed in episodes, a resumed "Behind the Closed Door" VN, very cinematic if you ask me. Obviously I won't be able to release a new episode every month, but most likely one at 2-3 months depending when inspiration hits me.
The reason I'm asking this is because, I believe my renders look very cinematic and simply delivering them without any additional sound and dialogue, I feel they lack real emotion. I believe they could have more impact as VNs instead of typical comic books.
So please vote, I know not everyone is willing to write here, that's why I made this poll.
