I initially had this idea a few weeks before. Panel-style illustration.
The above were initial sketches of the storyboard.
And before painting the character, I did the background first.
I intentionally left the center kind of devoid of details, since it will be covered anyway (an excuse to be lazy, lol).
Then I did the character. Painting the background actually gave me more trouble than painting the character three times.
For this post, I removed the captions in the original illustrations.
