This was the only time when my eyes and head hurt from crying from the Death Certificate scene. I was pretty much useless for that weekend and that Monday. From what Park Bogum said, he met the writer once before the start of filming and from what I gathered, she saw one of the filming and pretty much said he was on point. It felt that the character that was written did come to life for the writer. Even IU noted that he was more Gwansik than Gwansik himself and I can only imagine how it must have felt interacting with someone like Gwansik in and out of character for a year. When they interviewed the child actor, he said that Park Bogum told him "Please take good care of Gwansik" as if remembering this precious soul who had lost so much. This scene came to mind then for me. He doesn't interview as detailed as IU and I do wonder if that is because he is genuinely protective of this character who is 70% him.

Studio interference in productions is most often the cause of failure. Artists should be allowed to make their art -- look what happens when you let them.

You may wish to watch these 2 interviews for IU after watch the whole drama. She mentioned that the writer is very details in every little things.
