The man spoke a Busan (Gyeongsangdo) dialect, which has a strong accent and is often used by gangsters in Korea to show off. But Hee-soo's father was actually a native of the area, and he was just pointing out that the man's dialect was wrong. For reference, the dialect that Jo Yuri speaks is the Busan dialect.
