Per Concept Pages
Added 2025-03-05 20:00:04 +0000 UTCAnother one of Marve's friends, Per! He's a seal, or perhaps sea lion. I'm not really sure! Evidently I often tend to have a general look in mind when designing characters, but am not always sure exactly what real-life animal it correlates with. I genuinely didn't even think of Marve as a frog until it was pointed out to me - I meant to design some kind of lizard lol. But I'll take it!
Per is meant to be a really chill and nice dude. Very wholesome, and a little dumb. For that reason, his outfit as seen in chapter 2 was a given. What I could never quite figure out, though, was his colour scheme. Luckily, being a black and white comic, I don't need a definitive answer! In fact, none of the characters' colours are very important to me, so feel free to make up your own headcanon.
I considered giving Per glasses. I do feel they'd fit his personality well, but I'm gonna be totally honest here: I just didn't wanna draw that lol. Especially with how big his head is, and the width between his eyes and ears. I really don't like how they looked in the sketches I did with glasses, so I dropped it!
