More Marve Sketches
Added 2025-02-13 12:27:38 +0000 UTCA collection of various Marve sketches! Some are early sketches from before chapter 1, and the ones with the bike and appartment building are from before chapter 2.
On the first page here, I was trying to figure out how Marve was gonna look in black and white. I thought it could look cool to have the darker part of his skin just be pure black, but it wouldn't be good for readability. I knew I wanted to use as few different shades as possible, because I just prefer that aesthetically. With that said, I'm not sure I'm happy with the latest pages (chapter 2) using three different shades of grey on him, so I might rework this in the future to only use one or two.
The human character is a random character who will not appear in the story.
Tore appears on these sketches, and that's really the only concept sketches I have of him! He's actually a repurposed old character that I made for a totally different story which I'm no longer planning to work on. As some people have pointed out, he very much looks like a Koopa lol. This wasn't really intentional, he is just supposed to be a regular turtle, but I can't deny the similarities!
