It is so surprising after what IU had gone through with the Chatshire controversy, you would have thought she would withdraw into her own shell and never trust to expose herself with her vulnerability. Thank God she did not and continues to trust her unaenas and fans to believe in her. I think part of what makes her tough and persevere in what she is doing is her training as a actress. Before her calling as a singer she wanted to be an actress and she went to drama classes. One of the assignment was to perform outside the MRT station to 10 people and get their feedbacks. You need courage to let yourself be vulnerable because you do not know who you will get as your audience and judge.

It’s like you have followed her for a long time because everything you said is true. Yes, she’s one of those artists that is very open and honest about herself. She can also be very vulnerable, whether it be singing, acting or lyric writing. It’s not an easy thing to do because as you said, it’s like exposing herself to the rest of the world and become an easy target for some people. But in the meantime, it made her super relatable and allows people to really get to know her. You have become my favorite reactor, I look forward to your reaction every week.
