2025-10-04 18:27:49 +0000 UTCSo Gandalf is a Maiar, when they are sent to middle earth to aid the people to prosper the take the form of wizards. The wizards are white, gray, brown and 2 blue. The white wizard's is supposed to be the leader of them all, wisest and more powerful. Saruman was that wizard but fell to fear of Sauron and joined him. Abandoning his duty as a white wizard. When Gandalf fought the Balrog of Moria he faced a very old evil from the world and defeated and died, he fulfilled his duty there, but since God (Eru Ilúvatar) knows about the danger on middle earth he is reborn as a white wizard, he got a promotion. To serve as the leader and gide middle earth's people to battle against Sauron he became stronger, receiving the true powers of the white wizard. He's no longer Gandalf, but at the same time he remebers who he was.
