Hey everybody,
I know most of you originally came here for TM!, and I guess not all of you might enjoy GoV or the rather kink-specific upcoming TM! Memories/Fantasies Special as much as the game that brought you here.
So today, I want to give you a small sneak peek at the project that is sort of the successor to "Total Maidness!", in so far that it will be more story-focused than any of the previous games.
And while it will differ greatly from TM! in some regards, there will be some aspects (and characters!) that I think you'll feel right at home with.
What this new project will be like
I don't want to announce its title yet, but it will have fantasy, mystery and isekai elements, while still retaining some of TM's strengths as well.
Brief plot summary: the protagonist will wake up in a small tropical paradise world, where various species - elves, demons, angels, catgirls, vampires, elementals, spirits etc. - go to in order to either flee and hide from something or someone, or to simply enjoy a break from their exhausting life at their homeworld.
But not everything is what it seems, and before long, you are dragged into a journey beyond your wildest imaginations...
This project is aiming to be
far more ambitious on the story side, while still retaining a good amount of relaxing and fun sandbox content
offer far greater variety (and quanity) in characters, while also giving more depth to main girls
be of higher audio-visual fidelity than TM! (at least on par with GoV, maybe even better in some regards)
This is the game I originally wanted to make over 2 years ago, before I decided to make TM! first as "practice project".
Disclaimer: Some character designs aren't finalized and may still see changes until the first release.
What it means for Garden of Venus
Not much for now. GoV was always meant to be more of a side-project, and has been specifically designed to be easy to develop alongside a bigger main project.
GoV will continue to be developed approximately at its current pace for the time being.
How well things will work out in the longer run remains to be seen, but we have ideas how to deal with this if it becomes more challenging. We won't just suddenly abandon GoV out of the blue, that much I can guarantee, it has too much potential for that.
Anyway, hope you like the teaser images :)
Cheers,
-OCN
