Should I try to continue this animation? This month, you guys voted for giant Hermes, specifically Ximena's design, from Epic: The Musical. Instead of a still animation, given the nature of Epic, I have attempted an animatic. I have some very basic fundamentals in animation, but this is my first time trying something like this.
These frames (the first 14 in the animatic) took me roughly 2 hours to make. I usually spend 40+ hours on each HD y'all vote for, so I could have 20 times more frames of this quality, or more reasonably, 5 to 10 times as many frames with a much higher level of quality. This test animation (as in, stitching the frames together, how long each frame is held) was cobbled together without any real sense of rhythm, but if I dedicate myself to this project, the final animatic will have much more careful montage. I will take whatever time is necessary to deliver the best work I am capable of - but it is undeniably a risk, since I lack experience in animation.
So, please tell me in comments if you would like to see a serious, long animatic. And if there's anything specific you wanna see Hermes do to Odysseus after dropping him on the ground, feel free to share in comments too!
Thanks! <3
