Just like everyone else, I'm sad about Carrie Fisher today (and also the author of Watership Down). While I'm more a Trekkie than a Star Wars fan, I still always admired that she kicked ass and took names. I love how unapologetic she was, not just as a character but Fisher as a person. It's hard to know what to do, I keep opening a new tab and staring blankly at it. While I know that throwing myself into work will help me feel better and hard work is the best tribute to any artist, it feels wrong to try and advertise myself right now. So instead I think I'll try to focus on getting some behind the scenes work done - music research, act selection, post scheduling. Regardless, I need to make sure I don't get sucked into the vortex of sad that is Facebook right now.
