Disappearance of Posts
Added 2025-11-27 20:09:16 +0000 UTCHey all, just an FYI it looks like a couple of my posts got taken down. Insider version of Chapter 36 and the Island Story one. As I edit 36, I'm going to smooth out some of the issues I think made it get flagged -- don't worry I'll keep them around so in the future I can add them back in.
The island Story (stranded heat) will likely be a different issue I'll have to figure out, simply because of the theme of it.
I appreciate your patience while I figure this out! Look for final 36 (retooled and expanded) before end of month.

2025-11-28 14:35:06 +0000 UTCI also don’t know how it works in terms of what moderation tells the writer/poster about the offense—if there’s like a penalty or a “strikes” kind of system. I imagine there’s gotta be SOME kind of warning or punitive structure or notification of tighter scrutiny…otherwise, if I was DS (or any applicable writer)…I would just continue to make my posts without regard for censorship, and just add like a, “Get it while it’s hot!” admonition at the beginning of it to my readership base to make sure they were able to secure a copy before take-down.

They don’t seem to review or moderate pre-post, because the stories (at least in other past instances with other writers in my experience) are successfully put up for viewing in the first place. It always seems to only be anywhere from hours-to-days after the fact that they get forcibly taken down—I don’t know if that’s a function of readers having to actively make a flag/report/complaint to bring it to attention, or if, once posted, it goes into a queue where some manual reviewer actually has to go through and make a unilateral call…or if they have like an AI tool or something, that studies all posted material for offending keywords or themes and auto-flags the material…or some combination of all of those. I’m not a big censorship guy…I’m from the “I’m paying to be here, and if I don’t like what I’m seeing or don’t feel like I’m getting my money’s worth, then, I’ll just…stop coming here and paying for it”school. 🤷♂️ That said, in this instance, knowing how Patreon’s guidelines read, combined with where the signposts for the story were leading…I wasn’t shocked to see this come down—which is why I screenshot the story when it was first posted as a precaution again losing access to it (as I like to undergo frequent re-rereads after reading the comments to look at others’ opinions from different angles). Copy-and-paste into Notes or something is another option…but I like the screenshotting, to practice my eye-discipline of not outright-spoiling myself, but still giving myself the blind-teasers of a couple of out-of-context words every few paragraphs as I scroll and shoot. Your mileage may vary…😂
