And nothing much happens in any new chapter I would love to see the following - Start of Sarah lying to dan - Lester planning to send kids away and get more control of Sarah and her body - Lester, pushing Sarah to meet him behind Dans back - Jesse getting a go at Sarah, wild and fast and nasty - More financial difficulties for them and getting the arrangement with Lester back Loved parts - How dan takes control and gives a check to Lester. Makes the story better. Nice to see some change and friction, or it is simply boring and repeatative - Loved many of the type of things and things written by Michael Hasse Really looking forward to reading more. Guys please recommend some good stories, I really want to read similar stories

Thought I would give it a second chance, still bored, the snails pace development of this story is frustrating. I am not criticising Don, I believe he is a talented writer but now it feels like padding for revenue, and everybody has to make a living but tbh I would rather buy the book. I actually enjoy the readers comments/ opinions more than the story. Love some of your suggestions of where this story should go. All the characters are watered down and predictable now. Of course I am only one opinion and have never posted anything before. I loved the first dozen chapters, not the last. Confusing development and I don’t even know S or D now. Giving the next chapter a last go but tbh the way it is going I probably will be out. Some great stories and series popping up on literotica I am enjoying much more. Stay frosty guys.

What began as a great story of a couple imploding under economic pressures and unchecked personal fulfillment, a contemporary story of today, has become a run of the mill collection of sex scenes written for the whim of the last and loudest comment. Don has several stories, none completed, some forgotten, just recycling the same scenarios with different names. TA will drag on as a new generation of readers asks " who's Chronos ?" " does Jesse become president and makes Sarah his VP if she fucks him ?" sex with Lizzie ( who dropped off the radar, was a time everyone was asking about her) ...and there is still that waiter from chapter 10, let's not forget to get him in the act ! If you want to see how this progresses look at Katie the hot wife on Literotica, now on chapter 35. Whatever the planned outcome, wrap it up and move on. The flock will follow as it's all the same story anyway. Which is why you need to keep it short and hot.

He came close last chapter when Dan unexpectedly came home and saw Lester and Sarah in the marital bed. But how and what else? I think that Lester will insist on date nights not in Chicago but where the Williams live. This would make sense if Lester continues to work at the hospital. This would mean that Lester and Sarah go out to places that Dan and Sarah have been to. It means that Lester and Sarah will run into friends of the Williams’. It likely means that Lester and Sarah will return to the Williams house after their dates for sex, which in turn means the neighbors probably will see this and wonder what is going on. In short, Lester will continue to insert himself into Sarah’s life in the last place that Dan wants - in his home, his neighborhood and among his friends and neighbors. To say nothing about Dan being relegated to the guest bedroom while Lester and Sarah spend the night in the marital bed. What Lester has to do is manage Dan such that Dan doesn’t lose it and attack him again. How will Sarah react to all of this? How does she explain Lester to friends she meets while out on date night? He figures if she wont open her texts then present her with the real thing. He may be able to work a sexual scenario by offering her a shoulder to cry on with her problems with Thornhill. Dan will ring Peter and set up a deal. Dan to feed Peter the info. on the Lincoln project in return for a kickback if he hits pay dirt. Peter won’t want to pay 2 salaries, but he knows Dan is the knowledgeable and experienced one in that area, whilst jesse was just the apprentice. So, he will agree to hire Dan as well but only pay for results. Then all Dan has to do is find a way out of the sexual blackmail, which wont be so easy. I am leaning towards an alliance with Lester. Lester will kind of know whats going on by listening in to the conversation between Dan and Peter. He may offer a solution to Dan which involves him regaining access to Sarah. He may even offer an (insincere) apology for what happened with Sarah while Dan was away from home. He has used that ruse before. Dan may think better the devil you know. At least he has some sort of control over Lester. Byron is a different, and to his mind, much more dangerous and unpredictable player. Sarah will have problems at work with Thornhill, that may involve sexual innuendo or worse. Lester to ride to the rescue. And now my crystal ball fails me. The scene becomes shrouded in mist and fog. I think the story may have moved beyond the “Sarah visits Dan at the Chicago Apartment” scenario, but if not, here is a potential story line to build upon those already mentioned…..Sarah starts to get horny given her self-imposed “time-out” for Lester. She is trying to reignite the sexual relationship with Dan, but while it is nice and loving, there clearly is no Lester-level spark and emotional explosions which she realizes she desperately misses. In response to Lester’s unrelenting texts and dick pics, she agrees to visit him at his apartment in Chicago this Saturday for a date night. And he tells her not to mention the visit to Dan. While this catches her off guard, she agrees since her horniness is at the extreme stage, and we know what this does to her. But it could work out because Dan will be traveling this weekend for another meeting in DC with his client and then he goes directly to the Chicago apartment Sunday afternoon for meetings with other potential clients. All she has to do is see if her parents can take the kids. He likes to tease. 2) it would stretch credibility for Sarah to lose her knickers that quickly. Her last thoughts were he is a misogynist prick. It would violate the internal logic of the story for her to give in that easily. There will have to be work oriented humiliations and some sexual innuendo first. It all depends what levers he can pull and how effective they are. He may well come up behind her and smack her ass to see her reaction, but he will have to be careful as he may well end up with a HR violation. Ok, she doesn’t want to lose her job, but she may decide I need to stop this now or it will escalate. He doesn’t fit the profile of her normal turn on, of someone beneath her who desperately wants her. Otis would. Jesse might. But Thornhill, I don’t buy so much. He is above her in work terms and in terms of social standing. Of course, he may have levers we don’t know about. For example, he may have spoken to Drew and found out about her undressing indiscretion which would certainly be a very potent lever. In conclusion, I think Thornhill will make his initial moves in the next chapter and it will be fascinating to see what they are, but I doubt there will be any major goings on, particularly as Sarah has just re-pledged herself to her marital relationship. Lester/Sarah and Dan have been so well drawn that it makes the sexual dynamic much more intense. You are routing for the characters. DL’s characters are poorly drawn in contrast, so I find that story very difficult to like. TC is much better, but as I have said elsewhere, once you make the main female character pregnant it pretty much closes off the story. That is why we have been waiting so long for TC 4. Don has lost his way a little with it and cant find a way forward.

I have said repeatedly he presents as a stalker more than anything else. So that’s all the analysis we need to do on him. Therefore he is obsessed with Sarah and I agree may be a little chary about sharing her with Byron. However, he is reactive not proactive. He had a fortuitous opportunity present itself when Dan’s phone wasn’t passworded, was used as Lester’s pawn on the dance floor, and then has another piece of luck when Peter approaches him. I really cant see him taking the initiative by trying to operate without Byron. He will watch and wait for his opportunity. He is nothing if not lucky so he may figure something will turn up to forward his stalker agenda with Sarah. He really believes when he gets his cock inside her that she will fall in love with him. He will calculate that after the initial meeting he can make contact with her independent of Byron/Dan.

I also said in my post that they may enlist Lester’s help to fuck TLG’s IT up which would also help with the sabotage. However, Lester will extract payback for this by pushing the “stranger” angle and allowing Dan to watch-at first. When he is away at the “project” Lester will have ample opportunity to push Sarah’s “stranger” experience to the most extreme of slut/whoredom. Cant wait!

It took a slow burn through many chapters for Lester to achieve his current goals. If Don made it to easy for these other depraved rivals to achieve there goals with Sarah, we might lose interest in her. She would become nothing but a un-redeemable whore and slut. We would all lose interest if there was nothing worth saving of her! Seeing Sarah fight for her integrity, values, self perception, marriage and family against these undesirable and depraved rivals, is what makes us curious to see what is going to happen next.

Byron and Jesse have come to an arrangement, that placates both of their depraved desires with regard Sarah. That meeting Jesse held with Dan, which included Byron by zoom or teams, demonstrated a coordinated attack by them, to back Dan into a corner. Dan should and probably will confide in Sarah, Byron and Jesse’s intentions. Dan Doing so, demonstrates his honesty, love, protection for Sarah. My concern for Dan, is that he and we may be unaware & underestimate Sarah’s depraved desires that Lester has manifested within her. Sarah May start out with the best of intentions to support Dan during the meeting and after-party but I believe Lester’s programming may leave Sarah vulnerable during this scenario.

So, my scenario of Lester double crossing Dan by providing Byron/Jesse with “stranger” access to Sarah is perfect revenge is it not? Plus he asks Byron to wreck his career. What can be more specific revenge than that? However, perhaps you mean more immediate revenge? Yes, if Dan doesn’t tell Sarah about the Byron/Jesse scenario straight away there could be room for this. Lester is very, very pissed off with Dan. His internal monologue is: “He hadn’t felt like this in a long time. Not since he was in high school”, so this indicates a level of anger he has not felt since his teens, and he is now in his forties. He then punches Dan’s door, gets the property caretaker to increase Dan’s rent and searches the dark web for a hitman to take Dan out. He also realises Dan is planning to move out and take his beloved Sarah out of his reach. I think that is pretty much a perfect storm of shit for Lester to negotiate. So, yes, if Dan procrastinates on the Byron /Jesse situation Lester will counterattack along the lines of making direct contact with Sarah at the hospital. He can pretty much come and go as he pleases with Jerry’s blessing, so he can turn up and test Sarah’s resolve. Don’t forget she unburdened herself to Lester about her work situation over dinner, so Lester has some inside knowledge of her vulnerability at work. Her situation is only going to get worse with the sleazeball Thornhill trying it on, so Lester may prove a welcome diversion for her. I have written elsewhere that Lester could work a “stranger” scenario in a carpark, so he can avoid the marital home and Sarah doesn’t feel so guilty about betraying Dan. Regards the Peter scenario I disagree he will want to know or knows about the sex kink scenario. Peter is working for a top notch corporate who wants results. He won’t care less about anything that deflects him from that. His focus will be gaining knowledge of what Lincoln are doing in this new project and Dan is best placed technically and in terms of experience to deliver that. He will keep Jesse on board, but only as a control on Dan.

I would be surprised if he offered the same deal as he offered to Dan as he knows Jesse was the junior partner. He also knows Dan is the knowledgeable one when it comes to sustainability. 2) I very much doubt this. They made up and agreed they are a “good team”. She would not go behind his back in that way. 3) I don’t think he does. Jesse is not bright but he is not stupid. He has a kind of low cunning about him. He will have approached Byron with a deal. I will deliver Sarah to you (he was there at the initial meeting of Byron/Dan/Sarah in the restaurant and must have realised how taken Byron was with Sarah) plus I will get Dan on board. Byron tried to get Dan on board himself if you remember, but made it too obvious to Dan what his intentions might be with Sarah. Jesse promises he will get Dan on board, plus deliver Sarah. A double whammy that Byron cannot refuse. I think Jesse would have said he wants apiece of Saran too, so Byron will figure that is Jesse’s main motivation for getting in touch.

I don't think that's satisfactory to Jesse. So he will probably try the Little Dog strategy: Get there first. I think that's why he'll want to get his in with Sarah and his humiliations of Dan in early and fast, before Byron shows up. Luckily, Byron is in Minnesota, so Jesse has some opportunity to try and arrange things like a Dan and Sarah meet with him alone - possibly without Byron knowing, but at a minimum without Byron's presence, or to get to Dan and Sarah before Byron arrives. Byron may even be okay with this. There's a big dog strategy: Let the little dog take the risk, and if it's okay, then walk in and eat. If Jesse's scheme goes wrong, it's all on Jesse. If Jesse's scheme goes well, then he has a little fun with Sarah before Byron walks in and takes over. Definitely, Dan is going to be managed and manipulated Jesse / Byron / Byron's underlings. Definitely Sarah's experience will include copious alcohol. Byron is a borderline alcoholic, anyone around him is going to be boozing. Dan already found that out. I suspect Sarah can't hold her liquor any more than Dan can... they're not natural drinkers. Jesse seems to be able to stand up to Byron's drinking prowess - at least he doesn't fold like Dan. And Byron for his part almost certainly uses liquor as part of his seductions, just the same as he does for business negotiations - get the target drunk, easier to take advantage. I don't think that Byron and Jesse will go for group gropes or group sex. Sarah's a prize. Jesse with his infatuation definitely wants Sarah to himself. Byron probably doesn't like to share (unless he's got a kink). I think even a threesome will be tough, initially. As for group sex with Sarah... either only if they're really bored and have used her for all she's worth, or if they need to put some massive pressure down.

But I could see a situation where, if Dan is really stubborn and they can't move him with threats or bribes, they might try it on Sarah. If she agrees, definitely bad for the marriage. 3) No chance that Byron is aware of Jesse/Peter. If he did, he'd burn Jesse hard. If he suspects Jesse, he'll watch him like a hawk, and burn him first chance. I don't think he'd wonder why Jesse wants the business - when you're the big dog, everyone wants to do business with you. And Jesse's likely played a satisfying motive of revenge on Dan, opportunity with Sarah, and Dan's skills opportunities.

We know specifics of the offer Peter gave Dan, but don't know what was offered to Jesse. I think this is important to know given Darrow's and Royston's speculations as being possible. 2. Could it be possible that Jesse or Byron go around Dan, to get to Sarah directly where Sarah gets involved with them in a negotiated settlement in order to make Dan successful with the project, getting credit for it? And she doesn't tell Dan? 3. Do you think Byron is aware of Jesse's involvement with Peter? Being a smart guy, could he wonder why Jesse is suddenly trying to do business with TLG?

I want to present a different scenario.....now that Dan and Sara are back on the same page and Lester is temporarily in time out, I think Dan tells Sara everything and they work out a plan. I also think Dan hooks up with Peter, who already recognizes dans intellect in his chosen profession. Peter will use Dan in a greater capacity then Jesse as Jesse was born out of only choice to spy on LG. Peter does not need a reason for the change of heart by Dan, but Dan can explain he has been brought into the situation reluctantly and give some details of the business deal. Since Jesse and Byron have stated that Dan will get no credit and be completely invisible when the project is complete, doesn't it make sense that Dan and Pete can undermine and sabotage the project in a way that it can't blow back on dans career? Peter would love to hand them a doomed project to hurt his rival and Dan should be able to collect a sizable payout to plant a poison pill in the plans that won't come to fruition until a later date after the deal is complete and Jesse and Byron have taken all the credit for getting it done. All Dan needs to do is stall bringing Sara to the LG offices until after the deal is complete. That would also leave Sara alone while Dan is busy making trips to the LG and doesn't have time to move out of Lester's apt, forcing Sara to go on a couple of date nights with Lester. He will plan another D&D night while Dan is out of town and Lester will take advantage( as he does) and Sara will relapse . We will see the much anticipated scene shortly. ( I hope).

The meeting Dan has coming up with the Lincoln group (LG) will involve Jesse and Byron’s party pals from (LG). Byron will expect that Dan and Sarah will put up some resistance. It will be Byron’s minions that keep Dan placated, while Sarah is plied with liquor and perhaps a little something to reduce her inhibitions. The party will get Sarah on the dance floor and her multiple dance partners will keep her busy. With wandering hands caressing & groping her, their crutches pressed into her ass constantly. Sarah May get such a sexual rush from the experience. The multiple men, the hunger present in their eyes, men willing to do anything to have her, including keeping Dan captured and helpless to intervene, the busy club with all eyes are on her! There will be so much potential for what can occur. I imagine a large suite for the party to retreat to once Sarah’s inhibitions are reduced to her base desires of behaving as a slut for the group. Photos and videos will be made for leverage that can be applied against Dan and Sarah for future meetings. I’ve kept the scenario simple. When he first appeared, he was just perving on Sarah, checking out the photos he sneaked on the Dan's phone, that jerking off to her butt in the hotel room, and escalating into pretending to be Dan and talking Sarah into fucking a stranger and sending videos which he then kept. All of that culminates in his disastrous blackmail attempt. But apparently, he had family connections that bailed him out. He disappears for a while. It's possible he had some of Sarah's videos and pics backed up, but there's no indication of that, and if he did, he never used it despite opportunities. I assume that he knew that it was Dan that fucked him over. The one thing Jesse knows is he didn't write that email. Add in the humiliation of Dan's rage-out, and he's been insulted, threatened, humiliated, screwed over and emasculated by Dan. Big hatred. Then it gets a little weird, because of the puppy-love thing. Presumably Lester digs him up, sends him to the Dance Floor to Dirty Dance with Sarah, all as part of a revenge scheme on Dan. I'm not sure how it got sold to Jesse. Sure, he'd enjoy rubbing up against Sarah. But he's a horndog. Surely he wouldn't fall in love over that? And the other side is that Lester's revenge scheme gets him punched out by Dan... not that Lester cared. Lester seems to have lost all use for him, at least as far as we saw. But the lovesick puppy thing seems genuine. He displayed it to Lester, and he also featured it in his internal monologue just before Peter showed up. Here's where it gets a little weird for me. He has tons of reasons to hate Dan and want vengeance, and to proceed on that basis. Even doing Sarah would be or could be part of the big revenge plan. I don't really get the puppy-love fixation considering that his interactions with Sarah have all been different varieties of non-consent. She has never ever voluntarily done anything or shared anything with him or engaged in any activity with the awareness that it was him. Which springs the question, what's going on with this guy. Possibly, he's some form of mentally ill and prone to delusional structures about women he's fixated on - stalker type, unstable. Or maybe he's just immature and having an adolescent crush which comes and goes (and may already have gone) very quickly. Or some kind of psychological defense mechanism, in which he avoids thinking of himself as a creep by pretending there's a genuine connection, which is knowingly dishonest as he'll just take any opportunity to be a creep. I would tend to the last. Because otherwise, it's hard to square his puppy-love with him ratting out Sarah's sex games to Byron, or the apparent joint agreement they seem to have to share her. Maybe he thinks he can white-knight Sarah, rescue her from Byron (with Byron's consent after he's had his fun) and take her from Dan. But if so, that's an incredibly unlikely and emotionally immature fantasy - not a real plan. Assuming though, that the puppy-love shtick, even if shallow, is a factor... I don't think he'd be happy about sharing her. He would want her alone, and want to have first crack at her, without Byron around. If he feels so strongly, whatever the underlying reasoning, he's not going to want to share his first time in Sarah. He'll want a solo experience. He'll want to tell Sarah what she means to him, the connection, the whole puppy-love infatuation. I figure Sarah will either be utterly nauseated and repulsed, or she'll actively use it against him to manipulate him. It will depend on whether she's had a heads up from Dan, or thinks fast on her feet. If she's got a heads up from Dan and the two work out a plan together, Jesse's infatuation will be a weak point and major leverage. If they don't have a plan, and she's just thrown into the situation or even ambushed, then it really depends on how fast she thinks. Honestly, even if Dan tells her and the two of them are trying to think of a plan, Dan and Sarah don't know about the infatuation. So Sarah will be surprised, no matter what. I guess she'll need to think fast - tricky when you're in horny submissive mode. The worst thing she could do, and it's completely possible that it would go that way, is if she responds to any kind of infatuation declaration with Revulsion. Infatuation will curdle into hate so fast it's crazy. Then you've got a vindictive Jesse out to fuck them both over, big time. Regarding Dan... hatred and revenge is on the menu, and very specific kinds. He owes Dan a lot of payback, and Dan should expect unpleasantness. He's not going to enjoy. My idea of a scenario would be Jesse wanting to replay his last encounter with Sarah, and his last humiliation by Dan, and basically make it turn out his way. So, require them to go out to a club, take Sarah out onto the dance floor and do some very very dirty dancing to heat her up. All the while, Dan would be required to watch from the sidelines. No dancing for him. He'd want a scenario where the three of them are out together and Sarah is paying more attention to him than to Dan, who sits there like a lump and keeps his mouth shut. I don't think he'd leave it to chance - he'd give Dan instructions: "This is where we are going, you better make sure that Sarah gets a few drinks in her. Also, I'm going to flirt with her to the point of making out, and you'll be goddamned fine with it, or even encourage it. Then we're going to do some hit dancing, and you'll sit there and do nothing and say nothing, got it?" He may also require or work on getting Dan drunk, since Dan can't hold his liquor. He'll want Dan shitfaced. My guess is he'll want solo time with Sarah. Fucking her in front of Dan might be a big turn on. But he's infatuated, he wants his first time with her to be special. He doesn't want Dan watching his naked ass, he doesn't want Dan to be distracting, or to interfere. So Dan is either going to be ordered to play drunk and go to bed early, leaving Jesse and Sarah together (and hand his wife over). Or Jesse will try to get him so pissed he fades out. Or the 'best revenge' scenario, gets Dan to visibly agree to let Sarah go off with Jesse. Some of this will depend on how much subterfuge is going on, whether Sarah knows, whether Sarah is playing along, or giving up, or whether she and Dan are planning something, and it depends on whether Jesse knows that Sarah knows, etc. One thing is for sure - he wants to humiliate Dan somehow by taking Sarah, and he doesn't want Dan in the room. After the first time, I think Jesse's hatred of Dan and infatuation (possibly turned to hatred) of Sarah, will make him want some hard core cuckolding. Having Sarah make out heavily in front of Dan, Sarah blow him in front Dan, fucking her in front of Dan (no condom) and making Dan eat creampies. He may require Dan to masturbate while he fucks Sarah, just to humiliate him, and also to make sure Dan's staff is half mast and incapable after Jesse finishes. And to reinforce to himself a dishonest self image as a 'good guy.' On the other hand, I don't see Dan buying it for a second. But I can imagine Dan deciding to play along to get more control over the situation. Or Sarah convincing Dan to play along, if he's been honest with her. Dan might even really enjoy that scenario. He hates, or will hate Jesse and the position he's been put in. On the other hand, he's got a cuck fetish, and he'll know that deep down, Sarah is just play acting... It won't ever get as real as with Lester. He can watch Sarah fuck Jesse and know her loyalty is really with him. Of course, worst case scenario for Dan would be if he keeps his mouth shut about being blackmailed, cooperates and puts Sarah in Jesse's sights, and then is horrified to find that Sarah apparently has feelings for Jesse and preferences for his fucking her. I suppose one of the most terrifying things for a cuckold is the idea that your spouse may simply leave you behind as disposeable and go off permaently, physically and emotionally, with the new dick. Don Silver could turn this into a giant nightmare for Dan, if the situation goes that direction. As for Dan, one option he's got is not telling Sarah about the situation, but presenting or talking about Jesse to her as a 'substitute Lester' to encourage her to cooperate, and postpone the Byron crap. It wouldn't be honest, and it would risk blowing up, but on the other hand it keeps Jesse happy, Sarah cooperative, and Byron out of the picture for a while... and buys him time to figure out what else to do. Anyway, that's my take - Jesse is selfish, emotionally immature, screwy in his head, and a poor planner. But he is passionate about punishing Dan, and maybe as passionate about having Sarah.

But... we have different opinion's of Dan's character. Lester is definitely going to get back involved, but I think one of his Agendas will be Dan's specific humiliation. He's been humiliated by Dan before and each time, he exacts a very specific payback. Peter is the wild card. Jesse has almost certainly gone to Peter first. So it's questionable whether or what kind of deal Dan can make with Peter. Best case scenario, Peter switches loyalty completely to Dan, but this feels unlikely. Regarding Peter's knowledge. Peter has spoken to Jesse, and we know that Jesse blabbed to Byron. We can assume that Jesse was the second choice - Peter probably knew about the melt-down letter that Dan sent under Peter's name. His career imploded pretty damned spectactularly for a bit, and the Lincoln Group trashed both Jesse and Walt's firm. So Peter likely knew all that. I think Jesse was his back up plan. Note that he approached Jesse only after Dan went down. Now, if Jesse was able to ingratiate himself successfully with Byron, that's all to the good. But Peter doesn't strike me as an 'ask no questions guy.' Rather, if Jesse succeeds with Byron, Peter would want to know how and why. Hell, Peter would want to know the plan in advance, he might be a participant in the plan. I have a feeling Peter knows, and is prepared to use it. He may pressure Dan to go along with Jesse and Byron's plans, or to have Sarah go along. Whether invited back in by Dan, pulled in by Sarah, or just diving back in on his own, I think Lester will make himself a player. He's too possessive of Sarah to put up with interlopers. He's not even really tolerating Dan.

I have had to purchase Plan B for more than a few girlfriends and they have all had strong albeit differing reactions including nausea, headache, tender breasts, pelvic pain, abdominal pain etc… it’s not worth doing it as a “go-to” birth control. That being said - as “open” as Sarah and Dan are supposed to be, wouldn’t she tell him she went back on BC? It will be one of the most crucial and interesting phases in the ongoing story. Be patient with me, it’s longer than my usual posts, but worth it for the payback at the end. Dan, at the end of the last chapter, is about to contact Peter who we know from 17, is a PI operating for a corporate rival to Lincoln. For why we can make this assumption, see my post dated 14/06 in the ch 18 posts. So, what traction does Dan have with Peter and what is the likely outcome of the conversation? In order to understand what are the possible outcomes we need some background. Dan is the one with the expertise in sustainability, which is a large factor in Byron’s secret project. Jesse does not know his ass from his elbow when it comes to sustainability, which is why he has had to co-opt Dan. Byron recognises Dan’s expertise in this area or he wouldn’t have called him to offer him a job a few chapters back. Of course both Jesse and Byron have other motives, as we know, but those motives are not relevant to Dan’s conversation with Peter. So, Dan is important to the projects success by both Byron’s and Jesse’s admission. So, its interesting that Peter is also aware of it. In 17 he says whilst smoozing Dan:”The sustainability points you put out on LinkedIn are very impressive and well-researched. You clearly know your stuff.” He then goes on to offer him this: “we would give you a base salary for your trouble and bonuses for valuable information you can provide. All cash.” So Dan will be making a calculation. He is pretty much trapped into working on Byron and Jesse’s secret project for nothing. Jesse has made it clear that he will get all the glory with his firm and also the lucrative financial reward. At least if Dan recontacts Peter and can persuade him to employ him too, then he can make it worthwhile for himself financially. But will Peter agree to hire him as well as Jesse? Peter knows Dan is the one with the expertise. He will know if anyone can figure out what is going on there its Dan. But he will want to know why Dan has changed his mind and will also want to know why Byron should work with Dan when Dan told him: “The last time I spoke with Byron, I told him to go fuck himself. That guy hates my guts.” Peter’s smile disappeared. “Byron is known for holding grudges. There is no way he is going to work with you now.” So, Dan will have to come up with a good reason he can overcome the animosity felt for him by Byron. He can't fire her outright, so he has to destroy her in the workplace so that she quits, or he can surplus her and lay her off, or he can build a case to fire her. * So the standard practice is a lot of humiliations. She's not getting invited to meetings, even of stuff in her jurisdiction. She's left off of memos. Job duties get taken away. They're replaced with demeaning or impossible tasks. In the space reorganization, she loses her office with a window, and gets a windowless broom closet on the main floor next to the cafeteria - or something along those lines - basically going from prestige office to sucks office. All of this will have plausible deniability. She's not being targeted, it's all just normal business decisions, nothing she should be upset about. And if she does have a point, there'll be an apology, it wasn't personal it was just an accident or misunderstanding, but it'll keep happening. Her annual performance evaluation is going to suck big time, she'll go from perfect to substandard in every category - told she's slacking off, warned she must do better. This can happen very quickly or slowly, depending. * And she's going to be under strict rules. Too long at lunch? Reprimand. Excessive coffee break? Reprimand. Come in late? Everything else in her life will suck. She won't love Thornhill, she'll feel trapped and helpless, even as she enjoys what he does to her. Lester will be a relief, she'll crave him even more, accept anything and everything, and tell herself she loves him. Her emotional life is going to be very complicated and stressful. * Anyway, that's how I'd do it. If Don Silver is thinking along these lines, I hope he writes it. I'd be crushed if he was planning this, reads this and decides to go in a completely different direction because of it. I think Dan’s strong reaction, getting violent with Lester and throwing him out, creates a new dynamic. Lester probably will not want Dan around or watching anymore, Lester won’t take a chance and clearly he does not like to be interrupted or humiliated by Dan in Sarah’s eyes. Second, Sarah may discourage or prohibit Dan’s participation going forward. I don’t think anyone expects Sarah to adhere to a “time-out” from Lester for too long; she just cannot go without the sexual gratification she gets from Lester. Short of significant coercion from Lester, I think that she will soon figure out how to get with Lester again. And, from what we know about Sarah, when she gets close to orgasm, she loses all control. So, she certainly would not want Dan to pull another Pineapple episode. The sex scenes between Lester and Sarah in this chapter reached a new level of emotional intensity and connection and Dan was not even in the picture. And as others have stated, she did not share all with Dan about the past two days with Lester. Also, I thought it was interesting that Sarah referred to Lester as the “other man in her life”, a far cry from “Dan’s roommate”, “Chicago boyfriend” and “boyfriend”. Also, while Dan took Sarah pretty aggressively after he throw Lester out and Sarah enjoyed this, it seems like she can’t even fantasize about Dan anymore since it quickly translates into a Lester fantasy. Overall, I think the most interesting aspect of the TA story is the evolution of Sarah. Sure, she will get pushed in many directions by Lester and the other characters, but the key thing is how she evolves and what are the impacts from this.

It did show Sarah's total acceptance of chaos in pursuit of orgasmic delights. Expected that Dan would blow up when he caught Sarah and Lester fucking in their marital bed. Didn't expect Dan would throw him out. That scenario worked better than the one I pictured with Dan slinking into his chair and watching them fuck. It threw Lester's game off. He once again underestimated Dan. Like others have posted, he pushed too far. Like others, I'm not sure what to make of the morning conversation. Was it a case of guilt on Sarah's part of all that had taken place? And Dan's realization he wasn't paying attention to what was happening with Sarah? It was too matter of fact. It was telling when Sarah told Dan she didn't get promoted, and he didn't console her or offer any encouragement. Thought it was humorous when they were going through the litany of her sexual adventures like they were talking about routine events. As Darrow commented, she left out a lot of details and her willing participation. Unless I'm mistaken, she didn't tell Dan about the home office sex, which was my favorite scene. The reveal that Lester doesn't pay rent was excellent. It opens the door for a new arrangement when the 'rent' is increased, and Dan can't find a new apartment due to Lester's sabotage. I don't think Sarah will be upset. Interested to see what the new arrangement entails. When the group sex takes place, (which we have been waiting on since CH 15) I'm on the bandwagon of Dan being there to watch. Unlike the D&D night, he will be introduced as the husband, like the scene with Cash in the parking garage. I would prefer that Sarah introduces him.

His character wins too much, the deck is so deeply stacked in his favour, he's almost as annoying as Dan. But I also want a story line where all the characters are forced to grow in almost extreme emotional duress. "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women." As far as Thornhill goes, Sarah can quit. I know it's the last thing she wants to do and it's the last thing you all want to see, but it will create more of a reliance on Lester. Remember, he did want to get her reprimanded and/or fired. Lester makes money so he could "hire" her or if Dan's side hustle can gain traction he may have to travel more giving Lester free access to Sarah. Let's face it - Dan's a scrounger, a peon in a failing engineering firm haemorhaging clients and money, running a side hustle out of Starbucks, and living with a room-mate to make the rent. That's not the profile of the sort of people that these sorts of Agency's hire. * And if they are hiring, they don't just fly someone out and give them a laptop. They run a thorough background check. What sort of shit would a background check come up with on Dan? First and foremost, he's a scrounger. But a slightly deeper check would turn up his roommate Lester, and even a cursory look at Lester would set off some bells - Lester is officially a cyber-security expert, that should raise some interest, and any investigation of Lester would probably raise flags. Then there's Dan and Sarah's reckless games which may or may not come to light. Dan's associations with Jesse and the Lincoln Group. Let's just say, Dan wouldn't survive close scrutiny, and there's enough around Dan that would invite close scrutiny. * So... why are they interested in Dan? And where is this plot thread going to go? I don't see how it feeds into things. * Possibly - this plot thread is intended to the the pathway to Lester's doom. * Or possibly, this organization is connected with Peter and his agenda, and this is some ploy to keep Dan on some kind of hook. I doubt it though. But maybe. * Finally, Sarah's boundaries are expanding - she's on the verge of sex with strangers, threesomes, foursomes, gangbangs, anal, exhibition, you name it. Dan's pissed at this not being what he wanted when he came home after all that effort. Now he gets verbally taunted by Lester as Lester takes liberties with Sarah right in front of him! Then when Sarah sees Dan she doesn't rebel against Lester, no, she continues to moan in pleasure. So how can Dan have a somewhat normal argument with his wife over breakfast? He knows both Jesse and Dan, solely on the basis that they worked for a company that worked for the Lincoln Group. Again, that implies fairly elaborate surveillance. He knows where Jesse moved onto, and he knows that Dan is free-lancing on the side, and he knows where to find each of them when he wants to make contact. Clearly, he's the representative of a much larger organization, one with some money and intelligence gathering behind it. He's also operating covertly - subterfuge, informants, sleeper agents. There's nothing above board here. Options are - Government, either intelligence, or law enforcement. If law enforcement, then likely an organized crime department. Regular government agencies conduct inspections, issue subpoenas, operate under civil and sometimes criminal law and are above board. Whatever Peter is, he's not above board. So if it's government, its some deep operation. Alternatively, he's some foreign government operation. But there's no evidence for that kind of interest, so let's dismiss it. If not government, then his organization is either a commercial or criminal rival to the Lincoln Group, possibly operating at a level where commercial and criminal are hard to distinguish. Best case scenario - Lincoln Group is out of business, or wrapped up in so many commercial regulatory or Justice department investigations that they're ineffective and rivals can scoop their business. Here's the bad news for Dan and Sarah. Peter does not give a shit about them. Not even a little shit. Peter has a mission. End of story. I would have liked this chapter substantially better if he'd either never made it home while Lester was still there, or, if he'd at least just been the same pathetic, weak, cuck that always crumbles and capitulates to his betters... Furthermore, the 'flashback' sex scenes seemed like a last-minute attempt to retcon the opening scene and, that being the case, it wasn't even particularly congruent with Sarah's behaviour, in the middle of the chapter, after Dan's interference. With how submissive and responsive she'd *apparently* been, before Dan's return, her sudden ability to 'flip-a-switch' and cavalierly suggest distancing from Lester, and ignoring his messages, not to mention her apparent nonchalance over losing access to his cock, don't make a lot of sense in the overall context of her progression to that point. She *should* have been trying to convince Dan that they *don't* need a break from Lester, and used all her her whiles to manipulate him into acceding to her wishes! I *was* happy, however, to hear that she's taking precautions against getting *actually* pregnant, for now: This paves the way for months more degradation and corruption without the literal ugliness and hassle of a burgeoning baby-bulge. This way, alcohol and drugs can still be used when needed/desired, and getting her to *stop* taking those precautions, when the time is finally right, will be the ultimate signature of her complete fall into wanton, uninhibited debauchery at Lester's control and command...

If Peter has to pick one, or protect one, he'll pick Jesse, and sacrifice Dan. Hell, it may be good business to sacrifice Dan, especially if it protects Jesse and/or gives Jesse more advantage or leverage; (7) Once again, Dan has fucked up.

Sarah’s attempts to take control, have happened in several chapters before, each time Lester squashed it and took control back. And we see it here again, Sarah in the office becomes that secure, empowered by her sexuality and in control person. It really threw Lester off, which was also weird. But it’s the back and forth, with no real growth on either her control side or submissive side. If look at lester’s videos in order, he controls, Sarah takes back control and then when Dan shows up and Sarah is shocked beyond all belief, she goes sub instantly to Lester. All of this seems to be newer insecurities that Lester has been planting. Richard has seen something in Sarah and tested her several times. Even in 20 they both make admissions to each other of their errors and reconcile. So I don't think Dan will hold back on telling Sarah about the Minnesota situation. The problem, though, is that they've been so careless in their escapades that they've put themselves in a deeply vulnerable position. How many pictures and videos and account numbers does Lester have? Byron and Jesse know of their kinks. How many public sex encounters might come back to haunt them? And this doesn't even account for the financial stress they're under. So my guess is that Dan will tell Sarah about Byron's request, and like she said, she's willing to help out with any of the side work, so we'll have to see how far that goes. So Peter has something against TLG/Byron. And if so, then how does Dan calling Peter help the situation? Fascinating!
