Hello Everyone!
We’re back with another weekly newspost! This one is very small as we’ve already pushed this week’s big update - v0.6.0-alpha, which is now live.
The purpose of today’s news post is to keep you updated on what the team is working on.
Everyone is eager for some new content, which is being worked on as we speak (Take a look at what Malcs has been up to).
Version 0.6.0 is now available! This release is primarily focused on the addition of the Event Log, Sidebar Skill Pinning, Fishing Bait, and Quality of Life improvements.

Here is what the team has been working on recently.
Malcs:
Finalised the v0.6.0-alpha Major Update and released.
Worked on bug fixes for v0.6.1-alpha, due to release tomorrow.
Completed the initial prototype of the Ranching Skill ready for mechanical testing.
Made further adjustments to the Ranching Skill based on initial testing.
Completed the initial prototype of the Herblore Skill ready for mechanical testing.
Started working on the initial prototype of the Thieving Skill.
Continued work on some behind-the-scenes tasks currently underway.
Continued to analyse the results from the Survey and planning content accordingly.
Initial work on the writing for Quests has begun (Don't worry, Malcs isn't writing them).
Began planning for v0.7.0 Major Update.
Coolrox:
Full focus is on localization! This is getting very, very close to completion.
A lot of the work is in building out the systems that make it much easier to maintain the localization systems as development progresses. It’s taking a lot of work now, but it should make it much easier to keep the quality of localization higher down the line, and reduce the amount of work needed to implement it at each future stage.
Also created a tool to help prevent game crashes due to improperly configured user interfaces
Prat:
Continued testing and refinement of Agility
Started testing the first prototype of Ranching.
Working on Herblore and finalising initial content.
Tapi:
Has returned to working on artwork for various monsters.
Here’s a preview of the upcoming Vampire artwork - the initial concept and the completed piece!

ICYMI - New Roadmap!
We released an updated Roadmap last week. Our old roadmap didn’t line up very well with our development process, so we created a new one! The new roadmap is designed to give more insight into future updates, and also includes some new planned features based on your feedback. Check it out here!

ICYMI - Goodbye StrawHat, Hello Althalus
Last week we said goodbye to our long-time Community Manager, StrawHat. Straw was with us from the launch of Melvor Idle, and she played a really big role in everything from memes and competitions to helping manage feedback and testing.
We’ve now welcomed Althalus, our new Community Manager. He’s worked with Straw in the background for a few years now, and he’s pretty familiar with Melvor and the team. He’s also fond of writing about himself in the third person for posts like these, apparently.
This post is a bit of a highlight reel, so do check out the detailed breakdown of version 0.6.0 if you haven’t already! We’ll be keeping an eye out for your feedback on Discord and via the feedback and bug reporting forms - keep it coming! 💪
Althalus
