Smuggler's Fen

This map was originally created in 2022. The prompt had reminded Cze of a place he'd visited called St Benet's Abbey. We used that as an inspiration for our map. The idea was that ships would arrive on the southern shore and barrels/goods would be unloaded into the remains of this abandoned monastery/windmill. When safe to do so, they would be loaded up again on the northern shore and shipped away beyond the reach of the law.
Hopefully the variations will allow this to slot nicely into your story too! We think that the natural versions should work nicely for any marshland/swamp travel scene.

Gorgeous! Would love to see more scenes like this that highlight some sort of mysterious ruin / structure from the outside. Towers are always good!
