Be Gay, Do Crime, Do Good

The Montréal Pride festival has started and will be going on until August 10th. To celebrate the occasion, I've decided to release my "Be Gay, Do Crime" art series on social media and on my online store.

I know things suck for everyone right now so I tried to think of a way for us to do some good as a community, even if it's just a little bit. This is why I've decided to donate all the profits from the prints sold during the festival to GRIS-Montréal.

The 5x7 versions are also available in NSFW variants (with extra unmasked variants for Alek and Ben) while the group posters do not have variants. Please note that there are no previews for the NSFW variants on Etsy as my initial listing was taken down for featuring them.

All your usual discounts may be applied to both the mini and big prints. If you do use a discount code, rest assured that I will still donate the same as if you paid full price. I'm happy to absorb the costs as I believe that you benefiting from a perk should not reduce the contribution.

🌈 What's GRIS-Montréal and why them? 🌈

GRIS-Montréal, which stands for Research and Social Intervention Group, is a non-profit community organization that demystifies sexual orientation and gender identity by sharing testimonies of lived experiences. We are a family of more than 250 volunteers working tirelessly to build a more open and accepting society.

In other words, GRIS does social outreach in the form of LGBTQ+ education. Their work is incredibly important, now more than ever, as rates of homophobia and transphobia are rising in schools as a result of the spread of disinformation, leaving queer kids vulnerable to hate and harm. Hate is fed by fear and ignorance, so by providing proper education, we can starve it out.

✨ Okay, but where's the next comic page? ✨

I know that lately, I've been running at one new page per week which is sort of my bare minimum, but in my defense, they've been very dense pages lol!

I've also started working on the French version of episode 1. I'm still figuring out the best way to make it available here for those who want it without spamming everyone who's not interested. In the meantime, you can see the first few pages on Bluesky.

As always, you can follow my to-do list on my Trello to see what I'm working on. I use it every day so it's as transparent as I can get right now. With that being said, I am working on a roadmap to give you guys even more transparency on what's coming in the future and to keep you all in the loop.

Rest assured that this fundraiser will not impact my production speed. I put in most of the work on this project back in June when I created the "Be Gay, Do Crime" series and did most of the admin in my free time. The comic stays my number one priority.
