A small nitpick: They are not in general heartless killers, it's more that they are capable of being completely objective and logical and if the killer job has the best cost/benefit, they go for it. If normal humans wouldn't use them as weapons, they wouldn't be heartless killers, just completely rational beings that are always capable of making the most optimal decision despite their emotions.
