The odds are stacked against Project D because they have near full intel on their capabilities and know their strengths and weaknesses. What’s worse is that they can build cars that out perform Keisuke and Takumi’s cars. So they’re playing the underdogs in this final battle. They also mean final battle because it’s the last battle in the Kanto region which would make them conquer the most populated prefecture in Japan. Which is basically like being the best in a nation but this is all underground racing.
