Poll #6 - What would you like to see in the game?

I've had a few ideas that I've been on the fence about and instead of doing them one by one in a "Yes" or "No" format, I wanted to put them all into a single poll instead.

How it works -

Unlike the opinion poll that ran a couple of months ago, this is actually to decide if these things get put in.

Basically, any option that gets more than 8 votes (WITH weights), will be put into the game.

There's four things that can potentially get added to the game. And for this poll everyone has unlimited votes. Vote for everything you want to see!

However, weights will be split among every option chosen. So if you're Waifu WIP and choose all 4 options, each vote will be worth 1.75 votes. This is mainly to keep it from one person going in and voting for everything and then passing everything. One person can still pass something if they're Waifu Early Access tier or higher though. To keep things fair, this applies to everyone too. If you aren't a paid supporter and vote for all 4 options, then your vote will be worth 0.25 each. That's why something only needs 8 votes to pass. Try not to worry too much about the math, I'll worry about that later. Just vote for the things you'd like to see!

And now on to the options!

3D Renders - Portals

The first idea is to see if you would be okay with 3D renders mixed into the game. Specifically as rare women who will appear through portals that appear after you start the lab storyline.

Like mentioned in a previous post, I've had to mostly cut the idea where there would be unique rare women spawning from portals. Being able to create 3D renders and add them in instead would make it possible to add the idea back in. If you're unfamiliar, I also do 3D work and post them on Twitter. 3D is actually my specialty and what I focused on while getting my art degree (mostly 3D modeling, but still did some 3D animation classes).

Here's an example of a character who would be a rare.



This is Raven. She's the mayor of her town. Raven is a very driven woman willing to do anything to get what she wants. She's known as being a bit of an ice queen but this is mainly just because she has to be strict to get things done. She'll be impressed that you're hitting on her despite her being the mayor, and lets you into seduction mode.

Raven is a character I made in DAZ and then ported into Blender. Like Raven, all the portal women would all be original characters, that way I could leave them in in the official release. They would also potentially function a bit like a backdoor pilot. Like I've said previously, unless something changes soon, WW will be considered finished with v0.3. Which is when I'll start a new project. Anyway, the rare women in the portals will be characters from that game. Of course, in WW they wont have much story attached to them. They're all just bleeding into the WW reality, caught halfway between their reality and WW. So they wont have much more than a few lines, then seduction mode, then a scene. To them, they wont even know you're from another reality. When you approach them you'll touch them and get sucked into their reality (so the scene will be 3D). Once you've "finished" you'll jump back to the 2D world. These portals will be another way to make money if included though. Part of the lab story is that they'll be paying you for each portal you close and extradimensional being you send back to their own reality. This will all be explained in the storyline.

Anyway, I can bring this back with 3D renders because I can do a 3D model port and then make a character render and full scene in about the same amount of time I can do a single character illustration in 2D. If I really wanted to, I have a lot of unused DAZ renders I could use too. I would rather port to Blender because I think it looks way better and that's what I would be using for a future game though. Point being, since it's so much faster, I wouldn't need to cut the portals.

The biggest thing I'm worried about is that Waifu Wonderland is a 2D game, so throwing in 3D might be a bit out of place. They would be portals to other dimensions, so it would make sense in the game, but I was on the fence about it. So I wanted to leave it up to everyone here.

If this one doesn't pass, I'll be implementing a couple more rare women, but they'll just be color variations of existing characters instead.

3D Renders - Collectables

And next is pretty similar, 3D renders as collectables. Instead of using colorings I've done, I'd use renders I've made. Except these would be models I didn't make and would be existing characters. I'd be tagging who made the models in game so people can find them and support them. Just like I've done with the 2D collectables.

The biggest difference between the collectables and the portal content, is that collectables will be renders I already made and released, while the portals would be exclusive to the game.

I'd also include more explicit ones, but to keep the poll public, I'm only showing a pinup. I do mostly goth girls, so there'd be a lot of goth girls, but there would be some others as well. It would be models of existing characters I didn't make or port myself. Like this. This Yoruichi model was made by HentaicoreR18 in twitter. Anyway, the collectable images are going to be taken out of the final release already, so I figured doing some existing characters would be more fun.

I was just looking through the colorings and it's just a bit boring to have all the same artist as the collectables. I thought it might be more fun if the last couple of sets were these instead. They'd also be a bit smaller sets, making them easier to place.

If this doesn't pass, I'll just do one or two more sets of my colorings instead.

Male on Futa -

The last idea I've been playing around with is adding a couple of traps. I'd make it obvious who was a futa and it would always be avoidable. There would be an obvious bulge and the MC would say something like, "They're trying to hide if, but it looks like they're a futa..." or something like that. I just thought it would add some variety if there were a couple of futa you could bang or potentially make a random variation of some characters a futa. It would only ever be male on futa though. I do not like the other way around. This would be limited to just one or two characters at most. I would determine exactly how many depending on how far past 8 votes it gets, if it passes.

Losers Poll -

I had been saying that I wanted to do a poll at some point where I bring back all of the losers from previous polls and give them a second chance. But I've been thinking about not doing that. They lost already, and a lot of the losing options didn't get any votes. So part of me thinks it would be kind of a waste of a poll. Since it could be just full of options no one actually wants. I figured I'd out it up here in case that is something people would like to see.
