Meet Akari - The MILF Next Door - v0.1.2

You've known Akari for most of your life and she's always been pretty close friend to your family. She's sweet, caring, and loving. A real picture of a perfect wife and nother. Except that she got divorced recently after she caught her husband cheating. Since she's single, she's a little offended that Ayako didn't come and ask her to help teach you, and is very willing to be another teacher.
Inspiration
Akari is inspired by Akari Hatsufuji from a game called "Yarichin Katei Kyoushi Netori Houkoku ~Do-sukebe Kyonyuu Oyakodon~" Here's a link to her ACDB profile. Akari was actually the very first character I put into the game at first. She was meant to be the first character you see after the tutorial. She was jogging outside of your house. But I ultimately cut her to include Angela instead. Since Angela is out there now, I also decided to change her to be at home instead of jogging.
Anyway, the design is pretty similar this time. I did change some things up though. For one, I wanted to make sure she was more of the "cute" type. Most characters in the game right now are definitely more of the "sexy" type, and like I've said before, I want the game to have variety. Not just different versions of the same character. So from the start I wanted Akari to be the sort of opposite of Ayako. And I designed Ayako to be the sort of opposite of the stereotypical "landlady" character. Most of the time the "landlady" is very sweet and caring and loves the MC to a fault. So I intentionally made Ayako the opposite. I gave her a darker overall color pallette and made her just kind of fed up with you. And Akari is meant to be more like that stereotypical sweet and caring MILF type instead. So I went into the design process keeping that in mind.
When designing her, I kept the short middle parted hair from the inspiration, but made it a little bit messier. Akari is meant to be a stereotypical housewife, so she doesn't spend much time on her appearance. I overall kept the white and blue color scheme for her clothes, because it just worked really well as an opposite of Ayako's more dark brown and black. I did adjust the colors a bit, but overall the color scheme is the same. The biggest color change I made was giving her brown eyes to match her hair, rather than the green. Brown hair and brown eyes are pretty stereotypical, and Akari is meant to be the stereotype, so it fits a little better. I also made her a bit curvier than the inspiration. I wanted her to have the same overall body type as Ayako, and the curvier figure fits better with the WW style too. Then I made sure to dial up the cuteness factor a bit. I gave her bigger, more rounded, eyes and a bigger head overall, then a smaller mouth than usual too. I originally had a similar pose to the inspiration with her hands on her hips, but decide to put her arms behind her to add to the cuteness factor a little bit more, without taking away her maturity. Since going too cute, like doing a shy look away kind of pose, can make a character seem less like a functional adult and a bit more childish. And Akari is a responsible single mother.
Get Gains Bro
With Akari, I'm going to be testing out a new idea. Basically, by seducing certain women for the first time, you'll gain a one-time stat buff. Right now, you basically just need to overlevel and/or buy the clothes to progress. Buying the clothes was the original idea, but it looks like there's going to be a major problem with scaling if I keep everything the same.
Basically, if I keep everything as is, I'll have to continually add more and more clothes to compensate for the stronger women. Which will require more and more money grinding, since I'll also need to scale the cost of the clothes higher and higher. I am going to be adding a work storyline to help you make lots of money quickly and I'll be throwing money at you whenever I can during storylines, but I still want to keep having to grind to a minimum. And even if I do add the stronger and stronger clothes, you'll be able to break the game by grinding out money and buying the most expensive clothes early on. Honestly, you can already do that. If you reaaaaally wanted to, you could grind out the 100k needed for the most expensive suit and be set for a long time.
So there's a serious problem, and I had a few options. 1. Make the women easier. 2. Make it easier to level. 3. Give you higher overall stats when you level up. And 4. Give stat buffs.
I decided to go with a mix of 1 , 3, and 4. In the v0.1.2 update, I'm making adjustments to damage values and also starting to add in these little stat bonuses. I'm also planning on adding them in for the second scene for each of the starters, but that's not until a later update. Probably v0.2. I'll probably have each one give different stats, to make your choice matter a little bit more. They're all going to be recruitable later on through various other means, so that would also give you some extra stats for completing the unlock requirements later.
I had considered doing stat buffs for the first time you seduce EVERY character, but for one, that would be an absurd amount of work to go back and implement and would heavily delay v0.2. It would also make it way too easy to get stronger. Even just doing a +1 would add up very quickly, especially early on. In the Neighborhood alone, there's planned to be at least 13 women (including the 3 starters). Even excluding the 2 starters you didn't pick, that's still 11 stat points for women you're supposed to be able to seduce under level 10. When you only have 10-20 of a stat, an extra 5-10 points per stat on top of that is a LOT. And the apartments are planned to have about double that. And that's just two areas. So instead, it will just be certain characters. Either ones that have side stories or ones I just want more people to try. It'll vary though, since I'll need to keep it balanced. I'm also planning on adding stat buffs for all of the women from the main story. To help incentivize people to do it. Since otherwise, the game is meant to be very open ended. Kind of like an Elder Scrolls game. Where you always have the option to do the main story, but you never really have to.
No delays
I also wanted to quickly mention that I got the whole drawing program thing sorted out. I missed out on a few days worth of work, which was a bummer, but there wont be any delays.

I have nothing else to ramble about this week. I know. I really kept it short.
Akari will be included in this month's update, v0.1.2, which will be in early access THIS Saturday 06/15 for Waifu Early Access supporters. Next Saturday 06/22 will it will be released to Waifu WIP supporters. Then finally on 06/26 it will be released to Waifu Fan supporters before getting a public release on 06/29. Akari's scene will also be releasing this Saturday. Next week I'll be announcing another v0.2 character before diving into the poll winners.
