Freya's H Scene (Maximum Quality)

This week is Freya's H scene. As always, attached are the black guy and full quality versions.

For Freya, I wanted to be sure she kept her composure and class in her scene. Unlike Almiranda who goes a little crazy. If you didn't read the WIP post, I've always really liked this pose, and thought it fit perfectly for Freya. For Freya's sister, I'm thinking about doing the same pose, but mirrored. They're meant to be largely the same, except one is fire and the other is ice, so the pose would definitely fit. I could probably copy the base pose and just redo the head too, which would significantly speed up dev time. Which would be nice. Especially since this scene took a LOT of time to work through. It took me about 15 hours across 3 days to get right (for context, scenes usually take 8-10 hours). I just couldn't get the head right. I would mess with and think it was "fixed", but then let it sit for a while and come back to it and I'd see something else wrong. At one point I gave up and just started to render, but then let it overnight once it was "done." When I came back to it to setup this post, I finally noticed what was wrong and was able to fix it through some liquify and layer shenanigans, without having to completely redo anything. If you look at the WIP post and compare it, you may be able to spot the big thing that was wrong. Basically, the left side of the head wasn't big enough. It was sort of squished onto her and didn't match the size of her character artwork. But we'll see if I do end up making a modified version for her sister. I'll see how much the design changes while I work through it. If the character feels different enough, then I'll make it something that matches her design and personality. But if this works, then I'll use it as a base, flip it, and redo the head and clothing parts as needed.

Anyway, I'm REALLY glad I had the time to let it sit. The scene would have been mostly fine if I hadn't, but not particularly good. I don't want to have to compromise on quality unless I absolutely have to. I'll always prioritize having something out by the deadline so that the game doesn't get delayed, because imo it's better to have something out that may not be perfect, than to make people wait and have them be disappointed with the amount of content. Since there's really nothing worse than waiting 6 month to a year+ on a game update, for it be like 10 minutes of new content. I can always go back and fix anything horrifically bad, I can't go back in time and make updates on time and meaningful. I also really like Freya's design and I wanted to get it right lol. I probably went a little overboard on the detail, but she is technically part of the "main" story, and is from another dimension, so being a little more detailed is okay. At least that's what I'm telling myself lol.
