UX Update / Creative Coding Barcelona
Added 2023-03-24 15:01:00 +0000 UTCHi folks! ☀️
My residency in Barcelona is very slowly coming to an end. On April 16th I will travel to Stuttgart to give a workshop at the "Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste". This will be exciting, because I will meet a lot of interesting people again. Among others Patrick Thomas. After that I'll go directly to Prague, where I'll give a talk at the Mouvo conference. After that I'll be back in Paderborn, and then some much calmer weeks will follow. After almost four months of living out of a suitcase and a lot of traveling, I'm really looking forward to it!

UX Improvements 🛠
I had a longer conversation with Fred aka Tapiwo and he gave me some really helpful tips. His feedback was that the courses marked "Work in Progress" create the expectation that they will be released very soon and that it may seem a bit disappointing if there are no updates there. This feedback has been super helpful to me and I've adjusted the course maps accordingly. I think this will take out a lot of stress for me as well. @Fred: Thanks for always giving me such valuable, constructive feedback! 💙

Recap: Creative Coding Barcelona 🌴
Last week Friday was my second and for now last "Creative Coding Barcelona" event. It was great all over again and I met a lot of lovely people.
I paid Lena Weber for the flight ticket and so she came to Barcelona and gave a talk about her theory of Ambigouos Aesthetic at the event, which I liked very much.
Monica Losada, who I met at Studio Dumbar and who is based in Barcelona, gave a talk about her work, which is often about imitating the aesthetics of programmed design without coding. To do this she uses open source tools and often office software like Excel. I found her talk wansinnigly inspiring. She just thinks totally freely and breaks the rules in all the right places. Mindblowing.
Henry Rodwell gave a super humorous and smart talk about his work as a freelance creative technologist. In one project, he printed his TikTok feed on cash register slips.

So much for today,
have a great weekend! ✌️
