"The Call of the Animal" is intended to be an in-between tale that takes place before Witch's Hunt 2. We find our heroines--Yennefer, Triss, and Ciri--crossing into the Gustfields, where farm life and simple folk reign. But so does something else. Something that drools. And something else that eats hay.
Sha'hod's curse still permeates in their souls, and Ciri hides their newly plundered blade, fearful that they cannot be trusted with it any longer. And how right she is.
It is only a matter of time before the girls plummet into a twisted and depraved swirling of scenarios, each more more perverse than the last!
