Progress Update
Added 2020-07-24 11:24:15 +0000 UTCSorry for vanishing for so long, the whole "let's get softbody physic" turned out to be slightly more work than anticipated. Short version : the existing libraries don't work with HDRP and/or don't work fully with animated characters - so I had to create one myself.
It's ... usable, as shown in the video. Could still use a lot of improvements (notably with some actual skin tension) but it work good enough for now, and is relatively fast thank to cramming everything inside ComputeShaders instead of regular CPU code.
I'm however unsure how portable those ComputeShaders are, so here is the link to the software version of this video. Please tell me if it doesn't work on your computer, I think they might require DirectX11. This is a new project with much less clutter and legacy libraries/code (which is why the .zip is much smaller), so people who had issues launching the Rarity&Sweetie app might have more luck with this one.
Finally the core of the character customization system is done, so swapping characters in a scene will definitively be possible. The picture attached is what the ponies actually look like, before the system automatically load everything needed to make them match their character profile.
