As per usual, there’s an abundance of annoying insects buzzing around the human world. Unable to even sting him, the futility of it all would be quite amusing to Lugromm, if not for the incredibly grating sound they make whizzing about his ears… No worries though, he knows how to deal with such miniscule irritants…

Decided to work on a render-set while I was waiting for the last of the audio to come in for my current animation (which it did last week Monday).
As for this render-set, well mega-macro won the poll on the scale people wanted me to experiment the most with, and this one is a mega-macro scenario I've been considering for a bit. It's a side-piece to a much longer scenario I have in mind involving Rog wandering the human world at mega-scale and waiting for Lugromm to show up at a meeting point the two agreed on (with this scenario being what Lug was being 'delayed' by).
This side-scenario is much shorter than that, more self contained, so I'm considering it as a candidate for my next long animation.
That being said, I need to do some more experimenting with effects for it first - so I'll be working out a short and sweet animation for testing out mega-macro stuff, to go alongside the other short animations I've already got planned. Dense and/or abundant volumetric smoke usually makes render-time skyrocket, so I need to figure out not only how to handle that at massive scales, but also doing that in a performance friendly way.
