[Update] Poll: what scale would you like me to experiment with the most?
Added 2024-08-23 14:47:03 +0000 UTCSo one thing I want to make clear is that everything I’m planning on making is going to require some amount of prep-work and some amount of experimentation. And since there’s a lot of possible avenues for me to experiment with, I’d thought I'd ask you guys which scale you'd like me to experiment with the most?
In the future I'll be running more of these polls on specific themes, scenarios and characters I'm considering for future projects.
Giga/Terra/Planetary Macro: Macros big enough to stride across countries and continents, or play with moons, planets and stars.
Mega Macro: Macros large enough to crush entire city blocks under their tread, or perhaps whole towns and cities.
Macro: Classic giant monster sized macros. From being as tall as a small building to towering as high as skyscrapers (or taller).
Size-Diff: Smaller scales of size difference; from being head and shoulders taller (or shorter) to 2-3 times as big (or small) as another character.
Micro: Knee height, shin height, ankle height and toe sized micros.
Insect Sized Micro: Classic ant-sized micros (and other various sizes of bugs). Mants and mites.
Microscopic/Nano Micro: Micros so small you can't see them with the naked eye.

2024-08-24 21:13:29 +0000 UTCI've been eyeing up doing some mega-macro stuff for a while, though I'm gonna need to do a lot of experimenting with smoke and destruction effects at that scale. It's on a level that's several orders of magnitude bigger than the kinds I've made so far ;P A short test animation to experiment with fx and compositing work for future mega-macro stuff is definitely in the cards, once I've finished with this first round of micro animations.
