People like to talk down S3 due to how phenomenal S2 was, but its simply telling a different type of story and while we all wish we could be a part of the miracles like Teios story, the hard hitting reality of one day realizing you are past your prime is so relatable the older you get. Your attachment to Kitasan as this season goes on mirrors real life - Japan LOVED this horse. Even those outside of the horse racing scene knew of Kitasan Black and cheered for his victories. Theres a term known as an "Idol Horse" which denotes a horse whom, winning or losing, is propelled to stardom and admiration by the fans and Kitasan was every bit that peak of admiration during his career. You may also like knowing that Kitasan is still very much alive at the age of 13 - he currently works as a stud when hes not unintentionally training other horses... What I mean by that is that while most horses tend to calm down a bit after retiring, Kitasan seemed to keep most of his energy and constantly runs around the fields which has kept him quite fit but it actually caused a bit of an issue - you see, stallions tend to work better as a stud once they've put on a few pounds of fat, but Kitasan was too much of a workout junky and refused the lazy lifestyle so the owners tried to slow him down by putting weighted horseshoes on him... but he basically turned into Rock Lee and just got stronger like he was strength training. Seeing this, they decided to use Kitasan as a sorta workout coach and put horses who needed the exercise into the fields next to Kitasan where he then challenged them to run up and down the fences separating the fields.

2025-11-13 21:36:04 +0000 UTCThe game has a lot more in story mode in jp than we do. I've been enjoying watching translated versions of story mode 2. Super deep and emotional just like the show. Made me really appreciate king halo , who is a major character.

2025-11-13 15:56:10 +0000 UTCIf we ever get a 4th season I think Vodka would be a prime candidate for the main character as she also got 7 G1 wins including the Derby where she was the first filly(young female horse) to win it in 64 years and the rivalry with Daiwa Scarlet would make for a great plot line
