August Update

Hey Fellas,

There are only a few things I'd like to briefly talk about this month and it's concerning the direction of my Patreon page and it's future.

Over the existence of my Patreon page, I've evolved and changed certain aspects of tiers and the way in which I've created content. I've always been trying new things to find out what works best for me as an artist and what works best for you guys as supporters. With this in mind, I feel as though I should be honest about some feelings that I've encountered over this last month.

My original plans for last month had been to create somewhat a feature-length animation with a narrative, intimacy and care, as discussed previously. However, as I've approached animation last month, I have felt some what frustrated with the lack of time I've had to dedicate to it's creation.

This lack of time to dedicate to the promised animation work comes from a difficult balancing act between commission work and the lists of benefits I offer through the Patreon tiers: sketch requests, sketches and WIPs, polled arts, personalised sketches, finished pieces of art. It's a lot of stuff to manage.

Whilst reducing the amount of commission work I take at the moment is not an option, It is with this information that I can see that my own personal interests have changed since I have created this Patreon page originally. A change from general support creating illustrations, to a strong desire to learn more about animation. With this in mind, I am going to try to redistribute my focus on how I want to do my Patreon benefits over the coming month, most likely with a stronger focus on much more animation content.

To do this, I would like the help of you Patrons to discuss with me about this change. As much as it is my own decision to make, I still would request your opinions as I value them greatly in making this decision. I will be opening a dialogue in my discord about this in #patron-feedback, but those who are not part of the discord may still message me directly through Patreon if you have any feelings you wish to share about this proposal.

For this month, nothing will be changing as it is all speculation at the moment.

I know that was a lot to read, but I really appreciate those of you who have taken the time to read the whole update. Thanks again for all your support so far on my adventure. I couldn't have gotten this far without you.
