Goddess Maker Mechanic: Susanna’s Grocery Store

The Mechanic “Grocery Store”

The local Grocery Store is an nearby institution to the lab that sells the Player and Partner Character nutrients at a generally lower cost as compared to the competition, as much of the nutrients sold are grown locally and aren’t shipped in with high fuel costs passed onto the consumer.

As nutrients are required to fuel growth, like height growth, the local Grocery Store should be the first place to source from, as the other option of the “Online Marketplace” is pricier and subject to outside meddling, and is generally meant more for automatic purchases, buying in bulk, and purchasing non-nutrients like new science equipment.

The Grocery Store’s Convenience

Sometimes the partner character will automatically go to the store on her own to bring back nutrients, such as coffee, especially when the stock is low, freeing up the player to not cautionary worry about supplies in matters that are beneficial to both parties.

As prices at the grocery store are of discretionary value, the Player and Partner Character can generally bypass the privileged Lab Leadership responsibility of solely spending “The Lab”’s finances, unless they are verbally instructed not to.

The Character “Susanna”

The front-facing shopkeeper, Susanna, is a cutesy, but shy, rural woman who is paid a wage to conduct the local grocery store’s operations.

As the grocery store is one of the few locations outside of the lab you can visit, during the “Lab of God” section of the game, Susanna also serves as a third-party reaction to the Player and Partner Character’s Growth, providing comments in reaction to last seeing them.

Susanna’s Transformation

As Goddess Maker is all about positive transformations, a lot of the NPCs have second and third forms to display their character evolution and growth.

For Susanna, it is a boost of confidence through breast growth, beauty, and height, that occurs simultaneously alongside her character arc of becoming a better manager to the store’s affairs.

Hiring Susanna

Also, if the “The Lab” chooses, they can purchase the Local Grocery Store outright and employ Susanna on her own accord to manage it, so to reserve higher stock and lower the nutrient costs even further, in order to better contribute to Player and Partner Character’s growth.

However, if “The Lab” chooses to do so, then they take the responsibility of paying her wage as owners, subsidized by purposely restrained profits.

Comments

Depends on the level of experiment, if its just temporary growth serums or produce that is meant to be sold to commercial audiences, then its akin to gifting a complementary coffee. However, for proprietary experiments that significantly changes things, like for the sake of argument a ray gun that turns someone into a 50 foot giantess, that sort of life-altering research is kept exclusively to “The Lab”’s inner circle, composed only of the Player and Partner Character, as the Partner Character, in particular, strongly wishes to keep the research to herself. That’s not to say that external forces may attempt to breach acquiring “The Lab’s Research”, but someone like Susanna has no motive of becoming a goddess and so her field of influence is limited only to the boundaries of the grocery store. Next week, I’ll show off a mechanic to that effect, where a height-obsessed NPC annoys “The Lab” every once of a while, in order for “The Lab” to give them an ever so increases height boost, which carries accumulating consequences, if appeased to.

Ascension

Feels like if the Lab purchases the Grocery Store, the Player and Partner characters could potentially use Susanna as a test subject
