I've always been into my music, ever since I was a little girl. I remember being super young (almost too young that I should remember... if that makes sense??) and my dad used to play the guitar to me. He was a musical genius, insanely talented, but he never shouted about it or showed it off to others; other than his baby girl ofc. I used to sing in the choir at school, I had singing lessons and started to do my grading (or whatever it was called, singing qualifications n that jazz lol), and I used to sing with my friends in our school talent shows; oh and I can't forget all the singing and dancing videos my cousin and I used to record when we were super young to send to long distance family (and just for shits n giggles lol). Maybe one day I'll totally embarrass myself and get a copy of one of our videos hahaha
As I've grown up over the years I've had such a wide variety of music tastes, and still to this day I love alllllll kinds of music, spanning multiple genres (OBVIOUSLY I cant just stick to one damn thing hahah); but yeah, I guess it really depends on my mood as to what music I listen to. If ya put my liked songs on Spotify on shuffle, it's a total mishmash of music and I love it - I'll share a few of my Spotify playlists if you're in the market for listening to some new music <3
So anyway, as I approached 18 I was really into my dance music, drum & bass to be precise, and as soon as I turned 18 I went to my first rave and just fell in love. I fell in love with the music (because music is very different when you hear it through a big olllll sound system!), I fell in love with the community aspect of raving, and adored my little rave family that I used to have.
The connection was insane, bringing a collective of people with the same love together was always such a vibe. I wish it was still the same these days... but I'll talk more about that in future posts.
RIGHT BACK TO THE POINT OF THE GOD DAMN POST B hahahah
I used to have DJ boyfriends and friends that were DJs and I've always wanted to learn. But they never really showed me, or maybe I didn't push enough to learn. But still, it was always mesmerising to watch and ofc listen to all my fav tunes with all my fav people!
Fast forward to the end of 2023 and...
I LEARNT HOW TO DJ!! I'M NOW A DJ!! (And very very very slowly learning how to make music lol)
Eeeek i love it so so SO much!
I decided to take the leap and really push myself to finally learn how to do it. Plus it definitely helped that my better half is an INSANELY talented DJ & Producer and his job is to teach people how to DJ/produce music... luckiest gal ever!
Anywayyyyy, here's my lil (well, it's pretty long actually LOL) DJ Bio that’ll give you an insight to my musical journey....
