This week passed by super quickly, and I wrote so many chapters. I'm sending SIX more chapters to my partner to edit so I can get them scheduled.

Also, Sable threw me a curveball and now I am very far off the outline I’m currently working from. So I have no idea where my writing will take us tomorrow morning when I pick up where I left off.

Sometimes this happens, and those moments are the ones that everyone loves, so I’m trusting the process. My overarching goal is to wrap the first draft of book 2 by the end of July, but I think I’ll be done before that with how words are just flowing.

I’m tucking notes away for book 3, so once I’m onto that outline, it shouldn’t be too hard for me to pull together everything that happens within that volume.

My garden is growing, but I’m fighting a slow battle against an army of slugs. They are currently winning, and I’ve lost my peas, cucumbers, and squash. It’s time for me to call in reinforcements in the form of a cheap beer can. My neighbor swears it works for them. They drink the beer, and poof, no more slugs.

I feel like I am buying off the bugs with alcohol.

I think we also have a new cat in the neighborhood with brown stripes and a bent ear. Maybe this one will enjoy human company. Most do not and prefer to stay very far away. Tuna doesn’t even work.
