Book 1 is almost ready to go to a final editor. I just wrapped up chapter 54 of 84. One more solid day working on it, and I’ll be able to send it off on its wings.
Each little step that brings this book close to a physical form brings me so much excitement. I still don’t have a date for release or anything like that.
I’ve been reading the comments over on Royal Road as I’ve been editing, and loving some of the theories that post. It's hard keeping my mouth shut, so I give Rep instead. Also, a big thank you to everyone who has posted editing suggestions, even the funny ones! It helps speed up the editing process, and I wouldn’t be this far along without you.
My notes of ideas of things to happen in book 2 have grown, and some will need to be worked into book 3. I’m finally getting to the point of book 2 that I’ve been dying to write. I write in the order that things happen and can’t really jump ahead. I know other authors who can but that’s just not me.
So yes, I am at a part I’ve dreamed about for ages, and getting it on paper feels good. It will be even more exciting to have others read it.
