Whispers from the Writing Nook

So many good things are happening and it's hard to keep everything on track.

Three episodes written this week - Check!

Three episodes edited this week - vanishes into thin air

Editing is my downfall and it’s something I know. I keep reminding myself that I’m self-aware of it at least.

This week I reread what I’ve written for Volume Two and I’ve noticed a few areas where I’ll need to adjust pacing for when I publish the paperback. While drafting a book I don’t circle back and do major revisions, I save that for when the book is complete.

Speaking off… I might have extra writing time on my calendar during April. This is such a good thing if it works out, my goal is to get as much written in Volume Two and start working on the editing of Volume One. That’s the first step of getting Volume One into paperback and ebook.

I have thoughts about audio but I wanted to ask all of you. Does anyone want audio?

Let me know!

May your days be filled with warm tea and even warmer stories.

Yes big post are great it could also be that it’s only my phone that is crashing. I switched to pc to read the chapters so it’s not a big problem for me but if others come to you with a similar problem that could be the fix. 🙂

Magnuss

Oh no! I had no idea. All the advice I'd gotten said to do it as one big post because people love that. I didn't realize the app would crash. I'll have to see the best way to fix that.

Thanks for the reply. Found your Patreon after reading the free chapters on ream for a long time. So I’m happily reading the day away with all the advanced chapter. 😊 But there is one small problem that is happening because of your big vol 2 until now post. The iOS app can’t handle such a large txt file and is crashing often. Don’t know if it’s only a me problem or if it is more prevalent. It could be a good fix to split it in a few smaller chunks so the app isn’t so overloaded.

Magnuss

Yeah, if I'm going to create one, I'm going to do it right.

Toni Cameron

Same - I can listen to audiobooks, which is why I'm asking folks because I know some love them!

Toni Cameron

I would love an audio book but at least from my experience the voice actor is so important for the success of an audio book that if you want to produce one you should only do it if you are 100% comfortable with the speaker. Better no audio book than a bad one that nobody is wanting to hear.

Magnuss

Personally, I don't/can't listen to audio books. But, I know many people that do, so it might be worth looking into.
