Whispers from the Writing Nook
Added 2025-03-16 16:34:41 +0000 UTCVolume One is done - that blows my mind more than most can understand. This cozy little tale all started from walking in the woods with my partner and discussing magical cats. From there things spiraled as I let my brain wander in various directions.
Now there are 115,000 words in the first part and 50,000 more in the second.
Do I know where it's headed?
Yes, I do.
Thankfully.
My writing goal each week is to write 3 episodes. Two for subscribers and one so that I can build up a buffer in case I get sick or have things happen with my family.
Folks have been asking about paperbacks and releasing on Amazon. All in good time - I promise. Volume One took me over 2 years to write and I can honestly say, I am a much better writer since I wrote those first twenty episodes. It needs an editing pass and I plan on doing some light revisions in ordering of episodes. Nothing that changes the plot, but in a few places switching some events around would help with the flow along with combining some of the early episodes.
Given that my priority is writing the three episodes each week first, the revisions will take time.
Still, all of you will be the first ones who get updated on my publishing process and how things are going.
