When I was 8 years old, some kid showed me a Yugioh magic card. It was the first time my immigrant ass saw cards that weren't used to play Go-Fish. Soon enough, the Yugioh craze took over, but I was too young to buy any. So my friend and I would head over to the library and create our own by drawing on card sized pieces of paper. At first it was fun. We had strong cards and our weak cards had abilities that could hold their own. After 150 cards down the road however, we hit what is called a Power Creep. That's when newer cards are more powerful than before, making earlier cards irrelevant. The weaker cards that had abilities could no longer hold their own. That was my experience with game making as a kid. As I grew older and more experienced, the idea of making a card game never left. During my final year of college, I started having many matches of Yugioh every week. I love building synergy between cards in a deck. Fast forward to last week. I started playing League of Legends to bond with friends but I ended up calling in love with the game. It's so different to what I was used to. Instead of going straight into fights with the opponent, you have to kill their minions to earn XP and coins so you can purchase items and weapons. Whoever farms more minions will get the lead. Once both players have leveled up enough, then they can duke it out. Several days ago, Level52 Studios (the people making the Bili statue) contacted me about if I wanted to make a KON game that involved figurines. My mind immediately clicked. I thought. My biggest gripe with Yugioh is that often times, I'm playing weak monsters that are only meant to be sacrificed. What if you start off with your strongest fighter. Then I discussed with Janice furthermore. We came up with an idea for Servants, which act as minions. However, you have full control over them unlike in League of Legends. It becomes a game of chess meets Yugioh. That idea was all it took for me to spend all of last week making this. I still have more to flesh out, but now I wait for Level52 to plan how we attack this.

Look forward to playing this with 5 of your closest friends in the near future!
