Thank you very much for your donate.
Today I write tips about make statue's hair.
I can't use English well, but I wanna share this for you. At any rate, I'll try.
【things to prepare】
・any hair
・any stone shader (or concrete, plaster, etc.)
・Concrete Shader Presets for Iray and Merchant Resource by SF-Design
【prepare】
We merge figure and hair into scene, and apply stone shader to the figure.
"no!!....."
After this, we work with select hair on the scene tab.
【main process】
Step 1. On the surfaces tab, check applied file's name at "cutout opacity" of each items in the hair product.
・We should check each items, because it may be separated files for each items.
Step 2. On the surfaces tab, select the items we want to turn to stone.
After this, we call these items "petrified items".
Step 3. Apply file(s) to "cutout opacity" of petrified items.
・We select file confirmed in step 1.
Step 4. Apply a script(Shader Presets/SF-Design/Concrete Shaders/Tiling/1x) to petrified items.
・I don't understand how this script works, but hair shape turn to better.
Step 5. Enter 0 for Surfaces/(your hair product)/Cap/Cutout Opacity.
・We erase the slightly remaining original hair.
・By the way, if the cap turn to stone too, may be the boundaries of the texture are clearly visible. It's like a cheap wig.
Complete.
This method is high compatible with products that express the fine shape of hair with Cutout Opacity.
【other】
We can petrify "Genesis 8 Female eyelashes" as well.
Other than stone, we can use any shader as well.
Thank you for reading. I wish this article is useful for your creative activities.
