Volume 2 Rewritten Ending

So I was no quite happy how the final arc of Volume 2 went so after talking with my author friend about possible alternatives, I have rewritten it. Those who want to re-read it themselves and don't want to be spoiled - I suggest starting from Chapter 36.
For those who want a short rundown on changes, here it is:
The Fallen ability to kill people with blood has been strongly nerfed. It does not work in bright light.
Theobold tries to kill Galandir with his blood ability first, but is unable to do so due to Morrigan illuminating the area with her fireball.
Theobold gets captured by the King, but he managed to teleport the little bit of blood he got from Morrigan to the Fallen King.
The falllen and the demons negotiate within the Demon Castle instead them travelling.
Uriel, the Fallen King, attempts to kill Morrigan during the negotiations, plan which is thwarted by Galandir who figured out that the fallen can only use their ability in the dark.
The fallen have no choice but to sign the Peace Treaty with the demons. Morrigan will not be forced to marry the fallen prince.
The epilogue remains largely the same with Morrigan discovering her paint magic ability.

I definitely prefer the nerfed fallen ability. They were a little OP before, since all they would need to do to defeat any enemy is draw blood.

2024-12-09 10:32:30 +0000 UTCI think I prefer the no forced marriage. It just left a bad taste in my mouth as it felt like the fallen get everything they wanted with no agency on Morrigan's part. I do get that it is a big part of being a princess but it seems funnier to have the Demon King perpetually refusing his ministers even hinting at it being a possibility. đ€Ł Overall, seem like good changes!
