I do worry there's too many pieces at this point. Writing from within 1st person, I want to indicate the necessary transition towards Cindy (her identity, sexuality, etc) without overtly just saying it and breaking the PoV. When I started this, I wanted to write a fun, sexy romp but because it's tied to the main story, it's also got to stay coherent and remain believable. Hopefully, chapter six helps fill in some of those gaps. I like ambiguity, but also don't want to annoy the reader!

Or perhaps it's just David's no longer very different to Cindy sexually anymore. I'll have to wait till the missing pieces are filled in over time. So many pieces.
