Writing Update: 20/12/24

The lead-up to Christmas is always a bit of a tough one, and work dropped a metric crapload of stuff to do on my desk, and that's kind of interfered with the writing through December. This week, I had one great day of writing, and a bunch of middling ones, and overall it's a bit disappointing as I wanted to get loads more done before the end of the year. Reaching a quarter-million words written for the year would've been awesome, but I don't think that's likely with only a week and a bit remaining.
Still. The story progresses, and I've broken ground on a few side-stories. I remain optimistic of finishing chapter 6 by the end of the year. And if possible, I'm hoping to squeeze out a little Christmas special for members.
For those keeping track of such thing, Julia's departure takes place at the end of November. Chapter seven leads into December--a return to the Clinic for a check-up, office Christmas party, a slice of life post-Julia, that kind of thing--and it seems timely to push out a little festive scene or side-story.
Due to the uncertain nature of the festive season, I'm not going to post the usual timeline for next week. Still, I'll do my best to get some stuff published.
