Writing Update: 01/11/24
Added 2024-11-01 23:17:26 +0000 UTCOkay, so I'm away on my 'writing retreat' milestone birthday treat to myself. Today's been the first full day of writing. There's been some procrastination, some reading, a little exploration--and some productive writing. I managed a solid 5k today--a record for me, I think, at least in recent times. I reached the end of Julia's revenge scene. It was a fairly harrowing one to write; it's not a very pleasant scene and I'm glad it's finally done.
I'm not going to post a timeline for next week. It depends in part on how the rest of my writing escape goes. I've got another full day ahead and I'm hoping to exceed today's writing. I'll definitely have something to share on Monday and Wednesday, but I'll won't know precisely what until I've returned home. I may also write up a little something about the escape itself and the experience of it.
For now, however, I just want to say again, thank you. It's through the money I've collected through this Patreon that I've been able to justify and pay for this kind of escape. WIthout your continued support and encouragement, it's fairly certain Constant would be long dead. So, again--thank you.
Update / edit: holiday over, and here's the timetable for the week:
Monday: Chapter 5-2 released to all members
Wednesday: Sneak Peek of chapter 6 for Constant members and above. (I considered releasing chapter 5-5 (The Death of David Saunders), but want to give it the week to simmer and settle before sharing.)
Thursday: more Fanart by Fraylim.
Have a great week!

Eventually. Each scene is released to backers first at the Constant tier and above. Three or four weeks later, it gets released to all members. A week or two after that, I publish to tgstorytime and scribblehub. Once the whole chapter is complete, I publish to fictionmania. So there's usually a month or two delay between patreon and public.

2024-11-04 20:22:26 +0000 UTCThat's good to hear, and I'm glad you've enjoyed these recent chapters. My only disappointment with my weekend away is that, whilst I made good progress with writing (about 10k over two days, though I'd hoped for more!), I didn't get around to writing any side projects. I've got a few shorter works in mind and sketched out some ideas, and am keen to return to Silk and Shadows; but all my efforts went into Constant.

2024-11-03 09:37:16 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you are enjoying the retreat and I'm thrilled to have been able to support keeping the story going. All the chapters since your return I count as good value for my subscription. Looking forward to reading the results.
