Publish!: Second Interlude (2/3)

Thanks, again, to everyone who helped make this possible--the support and feedback has been invaluable and as I wrote at the end of the 1/3, I'm not sure I would've stuck with it without you all.
I'll publish 3/3 in the new year. I'm not sure how much writing time I'll find over the festive season, but I'm gearing up for chapter 6 and looking to start on January 2.
In the meantime I'm hoping - maybe - if I can find some time over the next week, to write a short one-off, just a simple short story (say, 5000 words or so) as a palate cleanser. If you've got any suggestions, an idea you'd like to see brought to life, let me know! That's what Patreon's all about, right?

Love the idea of a palate cleanser. Perhaps just to remove it from Constant completely I suggest a drastic setting change. A brief travel into the fictional past. A renaissance setting, magical interference on a political marriage gone horribly wrong. An attempt to shore up alliances with a wedding match is usurped by the Machiavellian protagonist's arch rival.
