Let's Create a Character Part 10: What's her Name?

Our character needs a name! Let this naked picture help you decide.

Names are a big decision, because a character's name will follow them around, so it has to be something you don't mind hearing in your internal monologue. But it also has to suit their personality and appearance, and has to sound like a name someone would actually have. This last one isn't a rule everyone follows - looking at you, Pussy Galore - but I always try to find names that sound good and might be a little unusual, but are names a character could actually have.

So that said, we'll give her a last name once we have a first name so they go together. I have a list of Hawaiian names because Hawaiian girls' names are really pretty. If you have a compelling reason you's like her to be Samoan, Maori, or Chamorro instead we can put it to a vote. Keep in mind though that Miyuki is half Hawaiian, so that's something they'd have in common.

Meanings of names are in parenthesis. Leilani is also Miyuki's middle name, but it doesn't come up much so I think it's OK to duplicate if we want. Also, Akiko's middle name is Nalini, but that's an unrelated Hindi/Sanskrit name, and a coincidence.

While looking up names I have found that Keanu is actually a unisex name, but I am not putting it on the list, she doesn't look like a Keanu to me.
