Consider the demographic makeup of San Francisco (our main setting) is:
39% White
33% Asian
15% Hispanic/Latino
5% Black
0.3% Pacific Islander
0.2% Native
If she's a secret badass, then the available options might link a bit to her ethnicity. The ninja society is multiethnic, as we've seen, but other groups may not be - Triads are pretty exclusively Chinese, for instance.
Interestingly enough, when looking up the demographics above, I saw that the census considers Brazillians to be White, rather than Latino; Middle Easterners/Arabs/Persians are considered white, although Indians are considered Asians.
Once we have a result we'll narrow it a bit more by nationality.
