Oh Hey, a New Character

Hi guys, I need to be up at 4 tomorrow so I can catch my flight to West Bengal, but I'm doing this instead of sleeping.

So the background here is Selena needs a friend - like an actual friend who she can hang out with. All the other characters live in the SF Bay Area, but Selena lives in LA; it's not far in principle but never once in my life have I driven 5 hours to "hang out" and generally I think this holds true. Also, the other characters are all Lyta's friends; Lyta has a sort of dominating personality, but Selena has her own life, she should have her own friends.

Also, Selena already has a rival/enemy in the form of Stacey, it hardly seems fair to have more enemies than friends when you're the sweeter, less violent sister.

So I've written some notes you may not be able to read, but here's the very WIP rundown:

For her name - I'm thinking Sydney or Sunny

Asian American of some kind. There are lots of Korean-Americans in LA, but Chinese and Vietnamese are possibilities too, as is Filipina. We have lots of Japanese American characters so far so I'm thinking something different.

I'm thinking she'd be either a DJ or photographer, so we can get her to events or photoshoots at the same time as Selena. Photographer may be a better choice, since I know a little bit about photography and nothing about DJing.

Her outfit is a colorful hoodie, possibly with animal ears on the hood, a black cropped t shirt, daisy dukes, thigh highs and sneakers. She has black hair with either blonde or dyed colorful highlights.

Eye color - not sure yet, I might give her a color other than brown. She has glasses, unless it becomes a disastrous pain to draw them. Seems like it should work.

She has perky boobs, rather than the usual, more busty figure (so more like Akiko). If she's a photographer she's probably constantly trying to get Selena to take her clothes off for artistic reasons, although she's probably quite shy about being nude herself.

Anyway, give me your thoughts, she's still a work in progress.
