I think you all missed Chapelle’s point. He was braving the navigation of Covid to save an entire town here in Ohio and to remain a benefactor of The HBCU Wilberforce University. He didn’t want people to feel bad for him; he’s annoyed people thought it was a vindication if he died of Covid while single-handedly keeping a whole town afloat.
