終焉介護 事後分析｜ The Caregiver post mortem

As always, we'll give you guys a post-mortem.

We want to apologize for a couple of things. First off, for the game-breaking bugs we had right at the end. We were rushing so much that we had forgotten that we updated after testing a few times, which lead to us failing to QA the second round. As someone in the review and some people that DM'd us mentioned, it's a common thing that happens in our games, and it's something we have to fix eventually.

Second, we couldn't implement everything that we mentioned in the To-Do list, like making the streets more vibrant, having more dialogues, more characters, etc.

We had them planned from the start, but they were considered "extras" and got pushed back in the list. We also had a change in the story that we took too much time redoing some content.

Finally for the missing credit names. We'd forgotten some of you who fell out of the Patreon's list filter. We are truly sorry if we're still missing some of you. Let us know and we will add you as soon as possible.

Again, we're are very sorry for the difficulties you might have had during your precious playtime and/or given you guys false expectations for the final product.

We will do our best to improve on our future titles.

We can't promise any specific dates or months for the next game, but one thing we're allowed to share is that we're planning not to take as long to finish as The Caregiver.

終焉介護のプレイ皆様お疲れ様でした❣

今回も事後分析を少ししたいと思います。

まず最初に進行不可能になってしまうバグが発生した事を深くお詫び申し上げます。原因はやはり焦りにあると思います。アップデートをリリースする前にテストをしたのですが修正前のビルドを間違えてテストプレイしてしまいパニックを起こしてしまいました。レビューでも書かれていましたが僕らのゲームはＱＡがしっかりしていないと言う事なので次は同じ間違えをしないよう頑張ります。

後やることリストに書いてあった内容を全て入れられなかったという点です。理由としては「エキストラ」のリストに入れている内容はあまり触れなかったという事です。終盤でストーリーの内容が変わったり今回もバグ修正でいっぱいいっぱいになってしまいました。結局言い訳でしかないんですけどね。申し訳ないです。

後はクレジットに入っているはずの支援者様が入っていないと言う点とクレジットの名前が違うという点に関しても改善していきたいと思います。クレジットの名前が毎回間違っていると言う方がいればできればパトリオンでのお名前ユーザー名を正しい方にご変更をお願いいたします。

信じてくださっている皆様や待っているファンの方々がいるにもかかわらずまた単純なミスをいくつかしてしまい、本当に心からお詫び申し上げます。

次の作品は終焉介護ほど制作に時間をかけるつもりは今のところないのです。

ですがいつになるかはまだ言えません。
