What we're up to now | チラズアートがいま何をしてるか
Added 2020-01-13 01:57:46 +0000 UTCWe've been busy all year of 2019. To a point where it felt like we're drowning everyday from the thought of needing to get something out.
This year, we wanted to start off our journey a little more planned out. We've never really had the will to look for inspirations outside (I didn't play almost a single game last year except our own games) for a while now thinking we have it all in us.
So I've been binge watching shows on youtube and netflix, and binge playing/watching numerous horror games. Surprisingly, I feel like games just give me the most inspiration. I find it very hard to get good ideas out of horror shows/stories because they all end up being too short or ideas that are really hard to put into a playable form. Playing horror games though, allowed me to understand how to make horror games in a more realistic way like understanding the pacing, the timing of scares, the range of horror ideas that are viable as a game, etc, etc.
With that said, the announcement of the next title might take a little longer than expected.
To all patrons above Tier 5, we will start setting up the schedule board properly once we have a more concrete set of schedule. My brother's been cooking up some environments already and I think they look pretty sick,(not the ones on the schedule board already) just ideas aren't so fleshed out so all there is is the environment for now!

2020-01-13 06:34:35 +0000 UTCYep! This is my process as well for making horror games. Lately, my schedule has been, work until 8 pm, and then have some dinner and play some horror games with a notebook beside me before going to bed (I mean, this is how I found out about your games!). I always get some nice ideas or inspiration for what I am working on mainly by looking deeply into missed opportunities in the games I'm playing. I can, however, get some inspiration out of movies and series as well, but games are definitely more inspiring. Looking forward to what comes next!
